You're looking well in the photo - hope things went well and your recovery goes smoothly.

Glad the brain transplant went well, best wishes for a speedy recovery. Does this mean the puzzles will be set by a slightly less devious mind from now on? ;)

No such luck  . However, he will now be able to hear you shouting in frustration much more easily
Apparently he had a huge hole in the eardrum which had to be totally rebuilt - a good example of the NHS really coming up trumps when you need it.
His loving mother is of course now supposed to be looking after him now he is back at home - not to mention spoiling the cat :D

I've never heard so much fuss in all my life about someone stamping on a pasty. Wait...that WAS what you said, wasn't it? Pardon?

Glad to hear it all went smoothly, Scurra. Get well soon. :D

P.S. Nice nightie.

.....to Sheffield. They have a fine park and ride system, with one of the best queues for a tram ticket I have ever seen. Took us nearly an hour to reach the front of the queue, and then we joined another queue to have our tickets checked before getting on the tram.

That sounds immensely irritating Giraffe.

Discovered this evening that there is a really good image of our house on Google maps street view. For those who don't know, this is quite a surprise as we live in an unmade road with only about a dozen houses in it, of which ours is on it's own at one end. So I never thought they would bother filming down our road at all. I was particularly pleased to see a very clear shot of my car, beautifully parked in a small space in front of our garage. And N was obviously working outside as our wheelbarrow is outside the front gate!

And I knitted Noah's left leg and right foot. :D (or maybe it's the other way round, not sure until I join them together, hopefully tomorrow evening.)

Knitting seems to be very trendy at the moment. My niece meets up with friends in a local pub to knit and share knitting patterns!! Her Mum is busily constructing two knitted blue tits to go on the top of my niece's wedding cake. Odd? Yes. I'm quite dreading transporting said cake (4 tiers, complete with scattered fruit, which K is making!!) all the way to near Royston, plus K's piano (there is also an "open mic" thing going on) POSSIBLY my guitar and some percussion... :?

If you need any help I have some newly toned leg muscles to go with your arm muscles. I foolishy agreed to a get fit campaign which involves walking the dog with my friend. The walking isnt the problem, its the 6.30 am start. Then I get back and cook a breakfast because the sea air has kicked in the appetite. I think I will get fatter rather than fitter. Cheating starts next week when my e bike arrives. I cant do inclines on my ordinary bike so I'm going to power assisted and have committed to a 10 mile bike ride every day. If I disappear WORRY!!

Well she is grown up now. She'll be off into the outside world soon won't she? But I know what you mean.
My ex-little girl will be back in the UK soon. :D

It is weird when they suddenly grow up, isn't it? I still can't quite believe it that my little girl is a teacher, and has been for the past three years...

My little girl (pumpkin) is off to China for World Challenge expedition in 4 weeks... not that she's a teacher, but will be involved in cultural/educational projects in school/orphanage, and not that she's all grown up, but... yeah, I'm older and greyer.
