To HINT HUNT. It was brilliant fun. We had a brief introduction before going in, which basically said " go and find stuff. Search everything. There are lots of red herrings (thought of Scurra instantly) but there are also lots of clues. They might be anywhere and you will have to keep your wits about you." We then got locked into a room which was set up like an old fashioned detective's office and started hunting. I won't tell you more (because I wouldn't want to spoil it for you) but it was GREAT fun. Needless to say neither of our teams got out before the hour was up, but we were both very close to doing it. This would be a fantastic idea for a Puzzlebrains Meet!! :D

Then we went for a really nice Thai meal.

Great Christmas present, Dibble! :D

I'd LOVE to have a go at making one of these. It would go with my treasure hunt idea. I think we should start a business!

I'll be up there on Friday.Well possibly not Covent Garden but quite possibly the National Portrait Gallery although I also want to pop in next door to see the two 'Sunflowers' side by side.

Oh, goodness knows. I'm rather concerned that she might want fancy hair grips next. The hair and make up lady she had the trial with the other day charges...wait for it...£19 per hair grip!!! Yes, they did have pearls and swarovski crystals on them, but even so...she needs FIVE of them for the hairstyle!! :o :o Not sure if I'm up to that challenge though!!

Gill, whose car is that?? :o

The car is my son's girlfriends. Or rather was.

They got into it, it wouldn't start and then it was on fire. She's only had it since November. She got rid of the old one because she said she could smell petrol on and off and she was frightened it went on fire with her in it.

Lucky they weren't in it for too long! Sounds terrifying!

Can't remember Giraffe. I've only seen it once. I'll ask her and if it was a Fox then I'll also let you know the cause when they find out. They are still in Ipswich at her mum's. No transport home and things to sort. It made the Wickam Market news in the local newspaper. That is where they were.

The reason I was so alarmed about it is that a kid at school was in a car which burst into flames while they were on the M25. They got to the hard shoulder and the kid jumped out just as the car exploded, killing her mother and sister. It can happen very quickly. So I'm just glad that your son and his girlfriend were safe and sound.

Glancing quickly at that line meant that I read it as "Wicker Man" - very apt considering the flames :o
But it could indeed have been nasty, so glad they are ok. What an experience!

...Slightly panicking. K's bridesmaids contacted me last night - they are FINALLY planning the hen dos. And they want me to HOST one of them here!!! :o I think the idea is that the "select, best friends" group go and do some kind of extravaganza weekend at the end of the month, and on 15th we do some kind of lunch / get together for all the OTHER "hens" (aged 20s-50s) here.

So any ideas for fun activities would be very gratefully received!! I'm going to meet the bridesmaids next Saturday to organise it.
