and a tree that seemed to think it was a poodle.

PS, do delete these Scurra if they are taking up too much room.

If you look at the bottom of the picture, it will tell you how big it is. These are all about 30k in size, which is fine. If you start putting up ones over 100k I might start raising an eyebrow, and 500k is right out!
Never put off till tomorrow what you can do the day after tomorrow.
All of my puzzles are simple and obvious. For certain values of "simple" and "obvious".

Nice pics. Is that a poodle tree?

Oh, sorry. I take it you raised an eyebrow at mine on the last page! I'll try harder next time.

Lovely pictures, LAT. What a fabulous view from the apartment! You are a lucky thing! :D It makes me want to go there. Nice to see pictures of a place I'd never have thought of going to. That's partly the reason I started out this thread. It's nice to see / hear people's perspectives on different places. Looking forward to Eirian's photos too! :D

hmmm, sorry Scurra, no file size given on these, and I've no idea how much Imageshack will have compressed it. If you want me to try again, let me know!

Aw, but they're lovely all the same!! Where is the one taken at the seaside? Looks like Grandad's enjoying the book just as much as Thomas, actually... I expecially like the last one too. :D

So the doting Uncle Scurra managed to avoid being photographed being all soppy this time then?

yep, Scurra escaped and I'm afraid this is the closest you'll get to a picture of the seaside:

They're very cute at that age. I remember my son eating sand and pebbles on the beach. They were later found in his nappy...  (He just loves it when I recount stories like that...now he's 20 and 6 foot 4)

Now you know why I didn't manage do any puzzling last week   :D
The seaside shown is of course our local beach at Exmouth - 2 miles of glorious sands waiting to be explored once he is old enough to wield bucket and spade......

Both your boys at the seaside? I hope you let Scurra have a bucket and spade too...

Actually, I can't speak. I LOVE making sandcastles. I'm always the first to be found digging a big moat. Trouble is I have to steal the spade off an unsuspecting child.

well, when I was growing up, building sandcastles was definitely a full family affair - I remember one year Wulfruna & me went up against Scurra and dad to build versions of the two Liverpool cathedrals!

 Impressive!! I must say mine are much more the "big pile of sand, moat and turrets" variety...
