Snowing here too, but at the moment it's not settling at all.

Think we live in Narnia. :?

I drove home from work tonight through sleet which wasn't settling but just leaving everything wet. I turned the corner by our house and there was a light covering of snow on the ground. I drove past about 15 yards to turn the car round and again there was no snow on the ground

I know this doesn't at all compare, but I just had to post. For the third time since I've lived in HK there was frost this morning. BUT, this is the first time I have seen it reported in an urban area.

My poor Spouse is going to a meeting at 8:30 up by that big Buddha, and it is only 1.8 up there! Looking out on my balcony, the thermometer reads around 4! Ack! HK is supposed to be a sub-tropical clime. Not this frigid wintery stuff.

I'm stuck out in it today so I'd best get off here and go find my long johns!

1.8?? Some of us have been experiencing -20 here!!  (not me, but even here - I live about 30 miles from London) it's been as low as -9.

We had heavy snow and our school was the only one open in the area. It's supposed to go to -20 tonight! On the plus side - watching Carmen throw snow and make a snowman is brilliant! :D

well, heavy snow arrived here overnight (and from the sound of it arrived in Manchester during Black Friday (the night of everyone's christmas dos)). Looks pretty, but then, don't need to go out in it, so don't mind it at the moment. I'll hate it on Monday though!

We have about 5 or 6 inches of snow already, and it's still snowing... Even the idiots can't attempt to get up our hill now. I was watching in horror as a transit van was trying to get up, sliding all over the road and being perilously close to our cars in the drive...

My daughter's boyfriend (who was on a course in Munich) can't get home (airports closed) So far he's managed to hire a car and drive to Brussels, he's now trying to get on the Eurostar (earliest possibility is 8pm tonight...

And my son's supposed to be coming back from Cornwall on the train tomorrow - all I'm hearing is reports that Southwest Trains aren't running... :?

We must have hit lucky up north this time- we had about 1cm of snow during the night , bright sunshine today although my dash is reading -1.5 no icy roads. The witch from the north (ie mother) has been into town in Newcastle this morning, clear roads there too.

Hope the boyfriend makes it OK. South West trains are claiming to hope to run a normal service tomorrow! It remains to be seen though.......
My son was meant to be going to the Chelsea Man U game tomorrow having been offered a ticket so we were watching announcements but have just heard the match is off. However he has an interview in London on Monday so I really hope the trains are better by then.

My boss is meant to be returning from a trip to Japan today. I'm assuming the flight will have taken off, just wondering where it will manage to land though.

It has snowed all day here today, just glad it's the weekend and we don't need to go anywhere. I'll be running short of food by Monday, might have to fish the lump of ham I have bought for Christmas out of the freezer and cook that! Thankfully there wasn't much yesterday so we managed to get to OHs office party in the middle of nowhere and back.

Just a sprinkling of it here this morning but temps not got above -2, the lanes are very icy but main roads clear.

Daughter was supposed to be coming with the boys tomorrow for a couple of days, from Somerset where they've had 6 inches or so, but we've told her unless there's an amazing thaw overnight to stay put. We'll see her after Christmas anyway so presents will have to wait.

Even we have down in Devon had a covering of snow over the past couple of days. All very pretty as far as we are concerned! However, if this lasts it could create problems when I want to dig up my Christmas-time potatoes ready for next week, not to mention the leeks which are all sitting there ready to harvest.

Gld I'm not the only one to stillhave leeks in the ground (well bag thing) I was hoping to have them for lunch next week, but not sure they will have defroasted in time.

The sky was a brilliant colour at 3 am when the snow was at it's heaviest, just like daylight

We have had more snow but it's lighter tonight and we have lightning! We have to make a 50 mile journey tomorrow because Ivan's mum and dad aren't so well - his mum fell and broke her pelvis and two vertebrae and his dad took a stroke. Fingers crossed for the journey.
