Well that was why we didn't end up with the other piece on the cd we made. The piece is seven minutes long without a break and after getting through it once she was an exhausted wreck, so I couldn't ask her to do it again.

Two sets. One with reeds that you can actually blow but the bag leaks (so hard work) and the other that has a leakproof bag but reeds that are really, really hard to blow (so hard work).

Yes... I've tried switching the reeds... the others don't seal in the drone pipes properly, so the result is them falling out in the bag and having a game like trying to get coins out of a money box without taking the bung out.

Taking the reeds out and blowing them like a kazoo you get a noise just like a duck decoy!
