I was going to Macleans Nose today (Kilchoan, on the Ardnmurchan peninsula) and picked up my sunglasses with a smirk and thought "well these will be useless" but took them anyway.
After some time though, I was thankful, because this is not currently a common sight.

Maybe we need a separate "photography" thread?

Today I have mostly bin... stinkin'
At least since wearing a Fladen suit on the (warm) C-Cap feed platform for longer than expected today. A "flad" is a flotation suit to help survival if one falls into the sea. It's basically a self-contained sauna if not exposed to the elements.
I should have taken it off while on the feed barge, but couldn't be bothered since it was only supposed to be 10 minutes on board. (It's not exactly onerous, but a bit of a rigmarole to get into and out of.)
Then, given that the feed system network gear was not configured as expected, I was longer than I thought, and basically boiled inside.
Back on shore, I shed the suit and had to wring myself out.
Certainly glad I didn't have any passengers on the 3 hour drive back!

Euw!

I've bin mostly cancelling pre- Christmas get-togethers, in the very vague hope that I might be able to spend at least some of Christmas with my family!

Oh, and gardening - my friends very kindly bought me a rhododendron for my birthday which has grown so massive that it's too big for its pot. But of course that entailed finding somewhere to plant it, which in turn required digging out masses of ivy and weeds and moving rocks. So I probably wasn't quite as smelly as you, Sparkout, but I bet I came a close second!

You two sound delightful to be near!

But nothing that a decent bath/shower couldn't rectify :D

Working like maddy mcmadface and trying to fit in planning for going to Kent this weekend to help Mrs S out with looking after mum, and then Pumpkin testing positive for Covid.

Opening a box.
This is my boardgame. It's only available in Spanish at the moment, though (because it's been published by a little company from Chile.)
The box came with a big Border Force sticker all over it, and they'd obviously opened it and one of the boxes to check that it really was just a box of boardgames and not some nefarious smuggling operation!

Oooh! :) Love the name - I just KNOW that's a lie!

I take it you are planning to do an English version as well?

Honestly, it really is actually pretty simple! The most complicated bit is probably adding the score up at the end. :) Although it's true that the title was a bit irresistible once I thought of it.

As for an English edition - there probably will be, but also probably not until next year. Mind you, the game doesn't have any bits with words on them, so you only actually need an English rulebook to be able to play it... (the publisher is a fairly small company so they aren't really able to do that themselves yet. But if they find, for example, a US distributor, then it will likely get a proper English version.)

Exciting - so how do people get their hands on the Spanish version?

Annoyingly, I can't answer that either! I need to ask them. :) (I think they do have direct distribution into Spain but I'm not actually sure.)

What, board games? Yes, I've got another one coming out from the same company this time next year, and there's the possibility of another one from a different company too!

Was it my imagination, or did you say you were going to make a Noggin the Nog puzzle? Or did I dream that?
