Re: Christmas
Oh yes it does. We WERE going to be having K and family who are in our under one childcare bubble (not Dibble, obviously) for Boxing Day Christmas dinner and presents. And D woke up coughing. We THINK it's just a head cold, but we don't know that, so cue an 8am cancellation.
Also, weirdly, I see that the UK number 1 single, for the 3rd year running(!) is by LadBaby - who live about half a mile from us. A very sad indication of the pointlessness of the rankings from the perspective of real musicians. Although hats off to them for their support for the Trussell Trust, especially in these strange times.

Re: Christmas
So, SparkOut, did you revert to the now traditional pot noodle?

Re: Christmas
Back last year
We took a leaf out of Thomas' book and had the full dinner without turkey. Mrs S doesn't do sausages though, but we also had apple-glazed gammon, which was very nice, as attested by all of us including P-Dawg.

Re: Christmas
I'm currently dividing the components for Christmas dinner into about 20 tupperware pots for doorstep delivery to Katherine!
You actually couldn't make this up, could you?

Re: Christmas
Hoping all of your Christmas plans are coming together and are able to be with your loved ones this year. It's all a bit nail-biting waiting to see who has or hasn't got covid! Dibble's girlfriend will be allowed out tomorrow, so fingers crossed he's managed to avoid it this time! Meanwhile, my oldest granddaughter announced yesterday "I'm getting a cold Nanny, but it's OK, it mainly seems to be a cough!" #Wish me luck!
I'm just making very messy mince pies using pate sucree - kitchen looks like a bomb's hit it!
Anyway, I wish you all a very happy Christmas. x

Fingers crossed for you!
K & L arrived yesterday, all of us tested negative before they set off so we are cautiously hopeful. Just hope none of us pick/(ed) it up on our travels/shopping etc now.
As Bunny says, hope plans are coming together for everyone this year.

Will recommend the Guardian Christmas cryptic - it's pretty accessible this year and really good fun!
