Re: Today I've mostly bin...
What sad circumstances when you should have been celebrating. You are allowed to shed tears for the loss of such a dear friend, as P-Dawg clearly was.
Thinking of you.....

She was poorly then, but we and the vets had no idea how badly

Re: Today I've mostly bin...
...Going to the Physiotherapist. I've been having lots of problems with one of my hips, so was referred for a consultation today (in 38 degrees!) The very slim, fit young man has given me a load of virtually impossible exercises he thinks will help, and he's told me to do them a minimum of four times a week. I've just tried to do them (absolute agony!) and they took me an hour and a quarter. I am now dripping and in acute pain. I'm also supposed to increase them as the pain decreases (!) with more exercises and stiffer resistance bands.
Seriously, what actual planet is he on?

That sounds a bit of a nightmare!
Re: Today I've mostly bin...
Um, that's how fitness regimes work... The problem is always with the early stages because everyone is different so the thresholds will be different too.
I mean, it's not as though I don't have sympathy (I do, I do!), but I suspect that the physiotherapist does know what he is talking about.
(Having said that, it seems perverse to expect someone to suddenly start doing complex exercises this week! Seriously, I worry that you might do yourself more harm than good if you dehydrate yourself just at the moment. And that sounds like the sort of thing that would dehydrate someone very quickly. I'm sure that waiting until the end of the week isn't going to change anything in the long run but it might be safer?!)

Never put off till tomorrow what you can do the day after tomorrow.

The trouble is, I really need to get off the maximum dose of ibuprofen that I've been on for over three weeks! I got up this morning and my back (which has also been problematic) is MUCH, MUCH worse. Grrrr.

Re: Today I've mostly bin...
Mostly I was driving but a significant chunk was being stuck at Bailey Chayolaze (as those not on the know have been apt to pronounce Ballachulish, after seeing the Gaelic version Baile a' Chaolais on the signs).
Seems there was (another) nasty accident, so I had to go back over the bridge and up the other side of the loch to Kinlochleven, then back down the south side to meet the A82 again.
I bet your fairy stories are full of imagination and delight.

Sounds like a complete nightmare!
Well, my 5 year old and 2 year old grandchildren like them. But they are odd children. I'm just adding finishing touches:some fairy musical spells and a fairy rain dance, some flower seeds and MAYBE a rotating rainbow.

Wishing I could put in our own Farms gear instead of the Corporate setup. Could have been all finished and done with massive hardware savings. I just had to leave site, and will be going back there in the morning again instead of heading home. I'm not sure if it will be fixable even so.
Will be a late one tomorrow. Or I might even have to try booking another night here.

...Just remembering the time we accidentally walked through the Queen's boating lodge garden just as she came out of her front door. She didn't have us shot or arrested, so that has remained a good memory. RIP Elizabeth.

Travelling... after rearranging ferries to the Western Isles. I was booked Mallaig to Lochboisdale, where Mallaig is an hour from home and our Lochboisdale office is AT the harbour. Because the sailing was cancelled, I had to drive 3 hours to Uig, then from Lochmaddy was another 70 minutes in the dark on snow-skimmed single-track roads. Friday's return is likely to be the same extra travelling in reverse.
Oh well, I'm not complaining about where I get to go and get to see

Horrible journey, especially in this cold weather. But should be fab. Lucky boy.
