Oh my gosh!
You're only given a little spark of madness. You mustn't lose it.

Re: Passing the time
That was wonderful! It certainly brought back memories. Peter Hawkins was a master of character voices, and "Professor" Stanley Unwin a genius at the straight face.... I remember watching the Flowerpot men, not to mention Andy Pandy.... (with, of course, Looby Lou ). But then, I know I am old!
Re: Passing the time
So who has done the GCHQ Christmas card puzzles? They were about my level

There was a link to an article about it on the BBC news page this morning. (It is aimed at schools I must admit! )
This should get you there

Don't know if anyone would be interested in this? I'm not (I'm hopeless at Uni Chal etc.) but just thought there could be some potential candidates here?

Re: Passing the time
Anyone looking for a fun* way to pass some time, I offer you *The Password Game.
All you have to do is provide a password that meets all of the (increasingly absurd) constraints.
It gets very silly and far too much like hard work quite quickly, but the execution is marvellous.

Here's a fun cryptic clue:
