And for your next challenge... Recreate that using licorice allsorts/dolly mixture stuck together with icing sugar :)

You know, I probably could. 🤣 I have been known to make a birthday cake shaped like a grand piano, complete with a lid propped up with a cigar shaped ice cream wafer and a complete keyboard fashioned out of pieces of white chocolate and licorice.. I could give the Stahlbaums a run for their money! 🤣

Here's a fun diversion.

https://neal.fun/infinite-craft/

Just drag and drop things from the 'menu' on the side onto the main screen to create new combinations. And then combine them. And so on. There are a lot of pretty funny combinations - although it's perhaps a bit too 'American pop culture' in places which is annoying. And you will reach a point where nonsense things are created, because it's using an AI engine 'behind the scenes' to get around the usual limitations of this sort of game.

Well, this wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea, but if you are feeling especially masochistic, this Month's Guardian genius puzzle is really clever. Although you may need to have a stiff drink beforehand to stop yourself setting light to it to start with!

And again, this month's Guardian Genius puzzle - all I can say is WOW. Honestly the most difficult puzzle I've ever completed, but SO clever.

I think that if you found it the most challenging puzzle you have completed there is little point in me searching it out. But well done! :D

This one is fantastic. It's a word ladder game except that the words are not directly sequential; instead you get clues in a random order. It's very clever with several a-ha moments in each one. (It suffers from the occasional US-centric pop culture reference, but they are rare enough not to be too frustrating.)

Love this one :D An interesting twist on the word chain. The occasional Americanisms need to be looked up, however, but no big deal...

Here's a fun variant on geography guessing games.
Plus you get some fun facts afterwards.

My goodness, the Guardian has outdone itself. Their 30,000th cryptic puzzle leaves a trail of breadcrumbs which lead you via a tortuous route even the Jester could never have imagined. Even if you don't like cryptic puzzles, you should at least head over to the chat on Fifteensquared about it. This has been several years in the planning! :o We have just completed the final part of this and were both gobsmacked that this whole thing was achievable. Very impressive.

I had already got the two side clues before getting to the actual puzzle!
And hey, I've done meta-meta-meta puzzles before (notably in the Holidays set) so I've had similar long-term things. I grant you that this one was spectacular though.

Forty years ago, Cliff Johnson wrote one of the greatest puzzles ever - probably one of the key things that got me into the idea of meta puzzles in the first place. It was a computer game called The Fool's Errand.
Twenty years later, he announced a sequel, The Fool and His Money.
A decade or so after that, it finally came out. But it has been mostly lost to the mists of time.
However, somebody has taken the effort to 'reverse engineer' it and has posted it fully playable in your browser.

It's here at: https://www.the-fool-and-his-money.com

It's pretty much perfect (there are some issues with e.g. 'the prologue' movie, but nothing that seems to interfere with the actual gameplay.)
If you haven't given up on puzzling yet, then it's really worth a look.

Is this a game or a puzzle?

It's a set of puzzles. But most of them are interactive, yes, although the most you ever have to really do is to click on something to move it; there's no 'fast reaction' stuff here. :)
