This did make me laugh!
You're only given a little spark of madness. You mustn't lose it.

Re: Monthly Puzzles
Strep's son was adamant there was an Aston Villa supporters connection!
As I know absolutely NOTHING about football, not sure I am qualified to comment!

Re: Monthly Puzzles
He thinks everything is connected to football. I have to live with that is probably explains quite a bit about me!

I don't have hot flushes. I have short holidays in the Tropics.

Re: Monthly Puzzles
OK, some hints for this month's puzzle.
1. All the answers in the first two columns are the same length and are in alphabetical order.
2. All the answers in the last column are the same length (but different to the first two columns) and are also in alphabetical order.
3. Think how you might be able to pair up words from columns one and two to make answers for column 3

Re: Monthly Puzzles
I will get around to this but there have been a lot of other matters needing my time this month. It's printed ready for when everything calms down.

And here's a Christmas Crossword for those of you with copious free time in the next week or so (i.e. nobody.

Re: Monthly Puzzles
I've not *actually* looked but at a glance, I liked 17A
Re: Monthly Puzzles
OK, the Bunny has found a couple of errors.
I have uploaded a corrected version here, but here are the corrections.
One clue should be:
37ac He could be his own parent, no? (3)
The enumeration for 38ac should be (9) not (5)

Re: Monthly Puzzles
Do you mean 39 across should be 9 letters?
Re: Monthly Puzzles
D'oh. Yes, I meant 39ac. No idea why I typed 38. (Other than to see if you were paying attention.

All I have proved is that I can count. Haven't actually solved any clues yet!

Re: Monthly Puzzles
I do have more puzzles, it's just I don't think anyone has got round to the last one yet, so probably won't be posting a January puzzle for a while

Re: Monthly Puzzles
Was just thinking that I ought to have time to look at the December puzzle now that things have calmed down a bit
Re: Monthly Puzzles
I think I spoke too soon but have now started to look at December. Is anyone else looking at it? Could be a good puzzle to discuss/compare notes.
