My great great aunt Ursula had twins and called them both Ursula  They were known by their middle names.

My daughter gets confirmed on May 10th and they will be using her full name Elinor Ghislaine Louisa, much to her disgust ( it actual fell off the form we had to complete),

I remember when my brother got married neither he nor his wife to be had owned up to their middle names. When their vows were said both of them snorted with laughter when they had to say I take john Malcolm... and he had to repeat I take Stella Edith...

Mind you, I've got a stupid name, so I can't talk.

Why does your name stop you talking?

And I rather like your name. :)

I wish my name would stop me talking. I'm always saying tactless things!

...and my name is one of those which invites far too many comments about rabbits and nuts. I think it's an old lady name. Another problem is that it really doesn't go with my surname - when I introduce myself, it's rare for anyone to hear it right first time! Once someone said it sounds like a disease. And I think they are right!

My Katherine was laughing at our middle names the other night. She worked out something that my husband and I hadn't after 20 years! I'm Roxanne Sue Husband Is Man Siu Both sound the same. She thought that was hillarious. What are the odds of having a husband and wife with the same middle name?

I'm feeling all alone I don't have a middle name, my parents couldn't afford the ink when signing forms :(

I think my name is great for a child, but doesn't suit an adult. (My mother thought our surname was VERY boring, so was trying to be a bit different). I have been told my middle name is only for fat people, so I've grown nicely into that one! And I can blame my husband for the comedy surname, which he actually appologised for before we were married.

Don't worry Strep - they were going to christen me as Chris but were advised it would look better (if I became important) to have the full 'Christopher' - so they figured that was long enough without getting a middle name as well :)

The extended name has never been needed for it's original intention, and now has just lumbered me at work because they made it my email address and whenever someone calls me by name I think I'm in trouble :(

We named our oldest boy Lee. But when added to his surname whith a slight pause between sylables it sounds chinese. Lee Fow lie. Often take the mickey when we order a carry out.
