It's cracking me up. I've got Dancing in the Street playing on another tab and I'm watching the bunny dance. Made my day. HOW SAD AM I??
Must admit I've just had a laugh doing the same thing, and scrolling up and down looking at all the various dancers - dancing to this song - was great :D So I must be sad as well!

What a fantastic cheery thread - This is a great end to the day

Bunny - the music selection is spot on - all the avatars seem to have a similar 'rhythm' to them so it works whatever you're looking at.

Chazzie - seen the Spidey-Dance before. You and I have been on the same website today ;) I opted for one of the slightly large ones (since I don't have anything to resize them :( - I figured if I used my old standard 'Paint' I would end up with a still image).

I also chose the one I did as the 'head scratching' is very appropriate when linked to my name :D

sparkout - Nice Work :)

Scurra - I'm not sure about the 'bandwidth' business... I know that some forums don't like [IMG] links to other websites because they have to 'draw down' the picture but I thought pictures or animated gifs were simply whatever size they are??? If I'm wrong, and there's trouble, then tell us.

It's not an issue right now. But if when there are lots more people here, and you all have dancing superheroes etc. then there will be a problem. I'd rather try and contain it now :D

The main objection to [img] tags isn't that they use bandwidth, it's that they use the bandwidth from two sites - the original and the place you are looking. Everytime someone inserts one of those external smileys, for instance, this system has to go to that site, find the file and copy it here (which is why they sometimes disappear because the link has gone.) And it's actually a little bit more than that since the messages also have to be sent between the systems in the first place.

So at some point I will take down the original helicopter picture that Redjimmy uploaded (or ask him to), because it's 350k. Every time 3 people open the thread, that's 1mb. According to my webstats, there were about twice as many "hits" on the site on Monday as there were on Tuesday and yet the total data transfer was quite similar. And that's probably mostly due to a large picture and some dancing rabbits/cats/giraffes/penguins/whatever, that mostly all turned up today.

As I said, it isn't an issue right now; we have got lots of spare capacity. I just thought I'd mention it...
Never put off till tomorrow what you can do the day after tomorrow.
All of my puzzles are simple and obvious. For certain values of "simple" and "obvious".

 WOT? You might have to confiscate my present? Boo hoo. Can I pay for more space so I can keep it? :D It's either that or I will have to make a point of scaring off any new people...  (Mind you, I may have done that already...just by being so loud/nosy/generally scary.)

Don't worry BunnyLump - you'll always have your prezzie on your computer (barring techno-disasters) and more importantly you'll always have the thoughts that arrived with it ;)

I know that the Martial Arts Planet forum is incredibly slow and there are a number of LARGE picture threads (Martial Arts Babes / Martial Arts Hunks being two of them). However they have almost 1800 active members, so depending on our 'host' computer we should be OK for a little while.

It's a practical and business descision, and I'm sure we're all open to whatever news Scurra needs to tell us :)

No ladies - I am NOT posting a link to the Martial Arts Hunks thread

I wish!!
This was a budget break designed in part to give me the energy to get through the next few weeks at work as it is our financial year-end. Payback probably starts tomorrow when I return to work. :(
