Now there is some sense in that. After all, skin IS waterproof...

One of the Dads turned up to watch the cricket match last Wednesday in shorts and T- Shirt. Before a ball had been bowled he put on a jumper and jacket and went to sit in his van to watch.

Wasn't there once a children's dance/song that went "here we go Looby Loo"? - Isn't it time we found a dancing Looby?

Now I realise that I'm REALLY showing my age here, but this is how I remember Looby Loo. (In this clip, Andy Pandy is taking Looby for a death defying cart ride...)

I also love the way that the song "goosey goosey gander" incorporates the line "So I took him by the left leg and threw him down the stairs". Who says Playstation games incite violence?? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dotzz3Jrvg4

You don't mention that he was "in my lady's chamber" immediately before meeting the sticky end..... sex and violence all at once :o
You also don't comment on Looby Loo's comatose state in the back of that cart - she's clearly out of it......

I read somewhere that 'Goosey Goosey Gander' refers to the Elizabethan priest-hunters, looking around the house for a Catholic priest. The 'old man who wouldn't say his prayers' is the priest, as he would only know Latin prayers and this would give him away.

If you look hard enough, pretty much every single "nursery rhyme" has been attributed to some bogus historical story or other. After all, it's not too hard to come up with plausible explanations for nonsense...

Well, I probably won't be around for a bit. I'm off to stay with friends Sunday to Monday, then on a school trip Tuesday to Friday (28 screaming ten year old girls + outdoor adventure place = little sleep!) So I'll see you when I get back!

Have a great time, Laura! :D

I'm off tomorrow too. I am going away with 4 other girl friends to Rye for the weekend from tomorrow morning. ANYTHING could, and probably will, happen!

Nah, not quite anything. You won't solve a puzzle without sending me a strongly-worded PM, for instance.

I might. I could find an internet cafe and still give you grief. You know you'd miss me really...
