:D :D Window is now fixed and the neighbour is now dry. Fortunately we get on well - he even cut our grass for us! Definately do not want anything to get in the way of good relations!

glad to hear things are sorted Tricia.
Our neighbour once cut our grass for us - but that was because he was fed up of all the dandelions!!  (we'd been away for the weekend and he was really apologetic on our return that he'd felt he had to cut the grass - apparently his son has asthma and our weeds were making it worse!) Unfortunately that neighbour has now moved away so we're forced to do it for ourselves

I've mostly bin decorating my bedroom. I may not be on here for a while. And I think it's put all plans of finishing some of these puzzles totally out of action for a while.

 never mind!

Iv'e been for a really nice walk in a local wood with my lad, taking in the last of the Rodedendrons (spelling??? dunno), while being attacked by 2 very small but very persistant strange dogs who were intent on getting thier teeth on our sticks. No chance.

Then, a wonderful trip to Mars and back. This was courtesy of the garden reclining/rocking chair thingies transforming (seemingly on the spur of the moment) into interstellar spaceships (My lad again. He's only 11, so still has something resembling an imagination, which wares me out from time to time).

Then. The best bit. Total anarchy and vengeance against a very large and utterly hideous Eldar bush in the garden. Destroyed. Yass.

What a top day. :D :D

Cheers. BB.

Sounds great Bassbloke :) Good to have (and keep) an imagination - he sounds like a good kid.

I had a night out on Mars once....................... No atmosphere!

Excuse me while I lock Mr Pedantic in the cupboard before he says something about Mars having an atmosphere that he'll regret.

I'm not sure of the spelling, but I'm fairly sure there should be an 'H' somewhere in there!

Yes there are, but it was a training session so there were 4 teams (two girls had to play 2 part). Supposed to have to go to Cirencester for the next session, can't see that happening as daughters face was a picture when i told her this session was 5 hours long.

Ah, I see! :D Thought they might have been cheating just a bit!!

BB - don't you just love kids? They can make the most simple thing exciting. Wonderful, wish I could still do that. I'd be turning my office (where I am currently eating my sandwich and snorting pineapple juice all over the keyboard - thanks to SparkOut  )into a jet plane to the Bahamas. And yes, I believe they do have atmosphere there too. (Glad to see Mr. Pedantic is at least slightly under control there, Scurra, or you could be in for a big slap).

mostly bin.... phoning bt to find out why our broadband is working at a snails pace. The bt lady seemed to think we should have 3000 somethings a second, but ran a test which showed her we have 48 whatevers a second. She was literally speechless, I could hear her opening and shutting her mouth down the phone, but not much was coming out  :?

I might not be on here much for a while as ten minutes to load each page is a touch annoying.

I'm preparing to be shot with the proverbial by our technical experts but..........

Zoe, have you got your wireless internet switched on? If not try switching it on. I know this makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. I have an orange dongle which doesn't need a wireless connection. Without the wireless switched on its unbelievably slow- and before anyone asks I've checked I'm not piggybacking onto a faster connection.

I'd love someone to explain why that happens if they can.

 I didn't understand any of that. All I can say is I've been having more horrendous problems both with my computer generally (it's randomly started going back a page when I use the scroll thingy on the mouse, and keeps shutting things down), and as I discovered today e mails I think I've sent haven't gone anywhere. So if anyone is expecting an e mail from me and don't get it, please let me know!!

I hate so**ing computers. Hope you get yours sorted Giraffe.

Anybody had any Micorsoft updates these past few days? I had terrible trouble with my comoputer over the weekend and lost internet totally. My wireless network died completely and I was advised to check with my "Network Administrator" - which would probably be...... well.... ME!

On starting up the computer it even came up with a Windows Log-in box (never before seen) with an account name of compaq and wanting a password. Something seriously wrong there!

Ended up doing a systerm restore back to Friday and it's all OK again. Screwy, eh?
