EXCUSE ME but it was that Jester who started diverting the thread. I was quite reasonably discussing being force fed with chocolate whilst watching FILMS!!

If he has assumed the position, why slap him. I mean I am sure a bunny is bigger than a duck. Why not just stomp on him? Check out this video at around 1:20'.

At 1.20 it seemed to be doing a brainy /dumb comparison,

but at 1.30 it seemed to be stomping!

However, one of the highlights was certainly 'Howl's Moving Castle' - a very special and different sort of film. Thanks David! Not to mention 'WALL-E' which he even managed to drag his father to as well - and who clearly enjoyed it immensely.
p.s. ..... Can we make a date for Harry Potter?

He knows we are only doing it because we like him. And because we get such great comments back! And if you're worried that we think it's odd that Scurra would go to the pictures with his mum, nothing could be further from the truth. I wish I could go to the cinema with my mum, but she's too disabled to be able to. I think it's wonderful that you two have such a close relationship, and that you clearly share a passion for film.

Oh, and Katsmom - I can't watch the video at the moment (am on rubbish work laptop) but I will make a point of doing so when I can. And yes, the "Scurra Stomping" sounds like we could start a new craze.

Biscuit, I am CRYING with laughter here!!!! Scurra would just LOVE that!!!

No, Wulfruna is Scurra's mum, and Eirian is his sister. I've never actually met him in "real life" but we have spent many evenings mercilessly winding each other up and being rude about each other.

I am a 48 year old loony tunes mother of 2 from Hertfordshire, Scurra is (I think) 41, and has a wicked sense of humour. As far as I know he lives somewhere in London, and is not really a jester skull, but I could be wrong.

oops great big foot in mouth - thanks for correcting me - I am a 46 year old mother of three hertfordshire children so can relate. - how can i get it so wrong.

No problems at all. That really did give me a good laugh. Hey - I didn't realise you were so close! What a coincidence! Mind you, I should probably mention now, just to save confusion, that when I talk about MBH being my "twin bro", that's an old joke carried on from DVP. We happened to discover that we were both "metal oxen" in Chinese astrology. It's sort of stuck, so we now refer to each other as "bro" and "sis". He looks out for me like a big brother and keeps me up to speed when I'm being dim and missing the joke. (This happens all the time

!!). MBH lives in Gateshead and got his name from "My Brain Hurts"!!!

Again, we've never met, but laugh together all the time, as we do with all the rest of you.

I realise, typing this, that this all seems a bit cliquey and nerdy, but hopefully it'll put you a bit more in the picture. Everyone is really really friendly on here (including you); gradually you'll get the hang of who's who, and will be able to join in even more with the banter.

(Us Herfordshire girls need to stick together!!)

Indeed - I take regular trips to St Albans too - but without the school children - my oldest two did St Albans in Geography - but they are naughty because they did the surveys quickly then headed for starbucks - they both passed thought!

I had got myself confused with the brother sister mentions in the threads so I am pleased that I am being put right - I thought everyone must be related to someone to be on here!

No, the only qualification needed to be here is a love of puzzles and an ability to laugh.

they say if you are not laughing you are crying and I must admit some of the puzzles have left me in tears - am just waiting for work to sort itself out - busiest time of year as we manufacture and fit furniture for schools and the holidays are almost among us so when you are slowing down for the holidays we are manic. - I want more time for puzzles but work does not seem to understand. lol
