No, that's so last year. Even Twitter is slightly uncool now

I'm such a cool giraffe!

(Is it me or does the cool smiley just look a bit shifty?)
No I don't have one and I don't want one. And I don't want to be a Twit either. (Doesn't the name give it away that it's not cool..TWITter)

I went to a talk a couple of weeks back about web 2.0. Facebook is out because - god forbid - teachers are using it. That is something that is supposed to stay for the young folks only.
Clvrlad, at least you're not embarrassing yet! Count yourself lucky.

Thanks for letting us see the pictures, Katsmom - it seems like a very appropriate space for displaying mechanical puzzles like that; it almost looks as though it might be part of one itself.

Well, I do (but I never use it because it it so intensely irritating reading things like "X is bored".

Consequently I was able to see the pictures though, so something good has come out of it. WOW Katsmom! That looks great!! It looks like there are some really unique puzzles there. I take it that's you there in the photos?

I'm the exhausted looking blonde. By the time those had been taken I was on my feet for 12 hours without food, one cup of coffee, and no fags for hours. I was not a very happy camper.

Going slightly off-topic here - should we start a puzzlebrains facebook page? It might interest a few people on there?? I'm not really sure how to do that, but I'd be happy to sign up if anyone else did.

I wouldn't know how to do that. To be honest I just tend to catch people on here...
...but if everyone else wants to, I would join. Just couldn't promise to remember to look at it.

I'm with Bunny. I set mine up and only look when Granddad sends a message. The rest of the time I forget abut it. I was only on today because I needed a place to put those pictures and was too stupid to realize I could put them on my webpage!

well, I don't think we'd have to use it as a forum - we have this, but something explaining what its about and a link to here. We've probably all looked at the links from here to other puzzle sites, so why not try that from facebook. You can link them to other sites or similar themes I think. Not really sure, though. One of you nice, clever, technologically minded people would have to do it I think! And I suppose Scurra or Gill aught to say yes before we do it!

Oh, right. I see what you mean. I suppose it might be a good way to get more members interested? Hadn't thought of that!

Amazing collection Katsmom, they look fascinating. How on earth do you ever get anything useful done with all those in your home?
Re facebook, I asked my daughter the other day her opinion on whether I should get an account. Her response "well don't expect me to be your friend if you do"
I haven't dared yet - I do think of it as something my kids use but not for me although a couple of friends have mentioned it to me recently.

Good point!

I really don't need another way to waste time.
Mind you my daughter made me laugh when she told me that she had given it up for lent.

I succeeded in accidentally joining some group called ("I like...."well, I can't actually tell you because it was so obscene). One of my son's "extended" friends sent me a link to it and I was trying to delete it. It then announced to the world in general that I had joined the "I like...." Many of my friends were HORRIFIED. But then so was I.

you make a posting like that but don't tell us the gory details! That's just cruel.
