Someone had to ask - so may as well be me - why the precise £17.34?

Because it's exactly £2:23 cheaper than Down The Tube (19:57). Obvious. Or has the heat finally got to me?

yay! actually managed to find time to do one of the puzzles (Heirophant), but that's probably because it's too hot to do anything useful! Wonder how many of this mag's I'll get round to. Think I managed 2 of last issue....

Oh, and if anyone hasn't done Fool's Errand as recommended on the first page, I'll back up that recommendation.

I've got mine now too. Obviously I've done the puzzles already but it does look very lovely. Nice thick card on the outside too. Not sure what I should do with it...frame it, maybe? :D Or toast it when we run out of bread. Hmmm. Undecided.

I've got my issue. Guess which puzzle I tackled first. ;)
MBH wrote:Surely there are about this many puzzles in the other ones we've had?
Maybe so, but previously there were the main puzzles for the meta and the 'outer' puzzles, of which the latter had the answers in the back. But this issue only has the 'Down the Tube' answers, which probably means there aren't any 'outer' puzzles.

You could try doing the secret puzzle. That'll keep you out of trouble, (Yes, there is one. Honest.)

You know. Press all those buttons (like you do), wind up the key and watch me go. And then watch with an amused smirk and the odd sarcastic comment.

Secret puzzle, mutter mutter mutter.

I was waiting for either Scurra or Gill to say 'Cough up!'

My magazine has arrived, but I haven't got a password yet. I'm saving the magazine for after my clarinet exam. I can get properly started on them next Monday evening!
