OK I came back and found a note on the door "Meeting cancelled". Nobody else here in this timezone. Looks like everyone else has gone slacking too.

Are we speaking in a new language here?

No. Just because you don't remember some earlier threads when both of those terms were explained

Goodnight all. (Or good whatever time of day it is where you are) I went our for a "stroll" with my son (with his 36+" legs)this evening. We walked about 4 or 5 miles REALLY fast. Couldn't keep up, and am absolutely cream crackered!! I was just impressed that he was prepared to be seen out with his "Mummy"!! (Normally the only way he'll be seen with me in public is if I'm buying him FOOD. So that must count as progress. :D )
:o <- that's me yawning.

You can't complain about his legs - he got them from YOU :P

That's not all he got from me. Laziness and an ability to sleep till lunchtime are also part of the genetic make up.

Morning MBH-but it's late afternoon here, and we're getting ready to go see that film that probably won't be as good as the book

A book and a film are never going to be the same. If you go in expecting that you'll be disappointed. Just sit back and enjoy, it was great. (How soon can I sneak in to see it again?)

I didn't reread the book on purpose. That way I have no expectations.

2 1/2 hours is a long movie though. And we're bringing the bug, so it will make for a very long squirmy movie. Maybe if I don't allow her to drink anything between now and when the movie ends it might be better.

Enjoy yourself. I've seen the first couple of movies - my mate keeps bringing them along when he vists but we never seem to have time to watch them.

I'm in no tearing hurry to see movie adaptations. I enjoy books as books, and my Dad told me as a kid that movies are never like the books - the James Bond ones were unrecognizable

The casting, pictures, and special effects are far better in a book ;) Or maybe that's just the way I read books :)
