I can watch BBC on TV when in the Netherlands. Does that mean they pay licence fees there?

Presumably :? We're talking about watching through IPlayer on the computer. If the 'deliverer' of BBC in the Netherlands (or any other country) have paid the BBC for the use of their programmes then all is fine.

If you're talking an actual TV with a standard ariel, then as long as you can pick up the signal then you can watch it ;) How is anyone going to know :D

This is on TV's in hotels but I am fairly sure that goes for most homes too. But it isn't there in Germany. :(

Not necessarily LAT. My daughter had to buy her satellite dish card ( very careful not to elaborate here just in case :? ) from Southern Ireland to receive UK channels in Spain. However, she can watch anything on iplayer- maybe because she has a UK contract for internet access. She also has a vodaphone mobile specifically to call UK at normal rate.

as i said last night
but since im awake im going to quote the bbc website :-)
the BBC has acquired On-Demand rights to offer television programmes only in Britain and not to anywhere else in the world
Most radio programmes are available outside the UK in addition to podcasts, although sporting and other programmes may be subject to rights agreements.

In addition, many BBC News programmes are available for viewers outside the UK, as are BBC Sport highlights.
it is mostly a copyright issue

that and they cant ok something for none licence fee users :-D the radio stuff is owned by the bbc so they can get away with that :-D

Completely unrelated ... but I didn't want to start a new thread.

I think solving puzzles takes imagination and imagry as well as analysis and logic - and I'm VERY sure that creating them does.

Good fun though.

Have you watched it through a second time? Actually watched it, I mean?

Oh very good!!

My hands were far apart the first time. That's obviously why I'm rubbish at solving puzzles.

Second time, well, what can I say?

Hmmm. not sure about that. Did you expect my hands to be far apart? (I'm assuming that's why it got attached to THIS thread...)

You did, didn't you. Bu**ar?

Look, I only said I didn't want to start a new thread. And this had some sort of relevant title, that's all.

(Incidentally, my hands were quite wide apart too. Which is why I somewhat disagreed with his conclusion. But it's a fun exercise nonetheless.)

On the prompting I did go back and 'watch' it a second time.

For the record, my hands were quite far apart the first time, and round his throat the second ;)

 It's a sad day when your instinctive response is not to trust someone though.
Even though I realise that I'm starting to prompt that response in people here...
