Bad influence

#1 Post by Biscuit » Mon Jul 13, 2009 7:58 pm

Hi
Just thought I would pass on my oh comments.

I explained that I am finding my ou course a big struggle with the amount of work and reading and he exclaimed that if I spent less time doing my puzzles it would be better. Just so you know what a bad influence you lot are.!!

what a brilliant solution:) or perhaps the next puzzles could be business based...

I am doing a bit of human resources at the moment along with all the other sectors of business, operations, information, financial and marketing. Perhaps we could have a puzzle book devoted to running like a business ... just a thought.

Oh clvrlad I am useless at solving puzzles let alone trying to set any.

I remember many a year ago setting a puzzle (only a word search) for a local newspaper and got the rude awakening when the public pointed out there were two possible solutions. - Have now left this to the experts, - can't believe how complex the puzzles are that he devises for us. Anyway the business was just a suggestion - perhaps to make me feel less guilty when I keep checking the new views on this site. the problem is the I have to ask oh for his expert help in music, films etc so he knows I am juggling the puzzles and study.

Well, it can't be all work and no play. If you enjoy puzzling it's probably a good thing to do. You need to divert your mind from time to time so that you can concentrate properly on your studies. It's just a case of being strict with yourself.

Like I'm not. (Still haven't finished the flipping spreadsheets).
Oh, and setting puzzles is MUCH harder than you might think. Even when you've checked them over and over there can still be huge problems with them. I've done that on several occasions (sorry folks).
You're only given a little spark of madness. You mustn't lose it.

As have I. But luckily, most of the time these really smart people* spot my incredibly stupid mistakes before the rest of you. Otherwise I'd be in real trouble.

(*masquerading as really dumb people. Don't believe them. Well, not much, anyway.)
Never put off till tomorrow what you can do the day after tomorrow.
All of my puzzles are simple and obvious. For certain values of "simple" and "obvious".
