You'll be ok with the sheer drops (although I don't suppose there are too many in Reading) as long as MBH brings his spidey threads. :D

I can guarantee at least one giraffe will not be hanging upside down off anything.

The other two can get up to what they like as long as it doesn't end up in a trip to the Royal Berks. I'm hoping not to include that in any sightseeing, although they might be interested to see where they were born!

My son has now got in on the act and it looks as if a rather interesting Saturday afternoon (though based on what we've mentioned previously) is going to happen. So hope as many of you as possible will be able to come.

And, giraffe, our next door neighbour is a consultant in A and E at the Royal Berks, though hope we won't need to call on him!

Plans are progressing. Supersleuth's son is a star and has come up with a great idea for a treasure hunt on the Saturday afternoon. Any chance of anybody else deciding to join us? We'd love to see more of you lovely people if you can make it. August 8th/9th with probably an informal gathering in a pub on Friday 7th for those who can make that too.

Spent this afternoon with Supersleuth and her son. They have written a great treasure trail for everyone to follow on the Saturday afternoon. Anybody else thinking of joining us? To reiterate it is in the Reading area on August 8th and 9th and a few of us will also be around on the Friday evening. The more the merrier :D and even if you can only come for part of the time it would be great to see you so be brave and come and join us.

I'm still there (with my traditional bug question mark). Can't believe it's only 2 weeks away :O

I'm so sorry I can't be there.... it would be great to meet people, even though I don't have the DVP background. But I am totally tied up that weekend - at one stage I though I might have been able to sneak a bit of time on Saturday (Reading is after all reachable by train from Devon!), but no good, I'm afraid. I hope the others with question marks manage it - and that you all have a great time!
So...... Scurra will have to do without his chief security guard on hand to protect him (noting that to date he has not committed to being there in person, which could be a wise precaution on his part????)

Oh no. We're only mean to him via cyber space. (That's the true coward's way of being mean. The result is that you can't get punched if (when) you go too far!!  ) If I met him I'd promise to be on best behaviour. I don't fancy a black eye. Anyway, I'm nice in real life. Really. :D
