By the way a couple of people who did not go on the meet are asking if they will get these puzzles too. The answer is yes, as soon as I have finished torturing the Jester with them...

Something happened last Thursday and I'm not sure of its relevance.
Mr S had a call from someone called Bletchley. He gave the caller the address of Mike Skilleter, an old school friend of his. I don't know all the details, but this person (I think it was a man) seemed to need somewhere to stay in Aldbrickham. So this Mr Bletchley was in the area over the weekend...

Thank you so much everyone for the lovely flowers which arrived today (by a rather circuitous route, I gather. They are very much appreciated. Somebody even knew that I'm rubbish at arranging flowers, because they came in their own little vase. :D :D

Were they delivered by the same taxi driver that took Colin and Ivan back from the hotel?

Colin says obviously not as they arrived within a day

Frances, we've just arrived home. Thank you for all the hard work that your entire family put into making the meet so successful. The offer of our spare room stands if you are visiting Ben, complete with a driver so you don't get lost! Ben and Naomi are welcome anytime for a bit of home cooking if they fancy it. They did - very quietly- a sterling job of looking after us all. Not to mention Peter, he must have thought the aliens from Mars had descended on his head.

Giraffe, your youngsters are an absolute delight.

Kingsley, forum quiz winner, I wont forget your prize :D

Bunnylump, I've had my head down in your puzzles for the last 2 days. Great, and wonderfully presented.

Scurra, I hate role play but I really enjoyed the evening entertainment. Thank you.

sounds like you all had a great time = i will try and attempt the puzzles once they are available = will they be easier than playing the fool as i am struggling.

I saw you mention bletchley earlier which is a bit of a coincidence as I found out tonight that my grandfathers brother was at bletchley during the war but the family didnt't find out till after his death because of the official secrets thingy. How exciting. I want to visit now and see if his name is anywhere.

Is it a good place to visit for the day - I am in Hertford so not far really.

I've been back to Bletchley Park after the DVP meet visit because it was so fascinating - absolutely worth a visit for so many different reasons. And it's still somewhat touch-and-go whether it will be able to maintain the funding needing to keep it intact, which is absolutely outrageous considering how important it is to our recent history. So go now, before it might be too late :)

For those of you who know what the heck I'm on about... the letters in the title of the dart game should read FRMVIVEGMJ. Like an idiot I had changed the answer but not the puzzle. DOH!

Anyone heard from Gauntlet recently?

Oh and I wouldn't worry Bunny, I've identified the piccies but have no idea what to do next so having an incorrect puzzle has made absolutely no difference to me.

Oh Brian, it's a REALLY good job it's only Scurra's rear on display here. If that had been some of the ladies' rears, they would probably have skinned you!!

Is that Gauntlet next to Scurra? I think he disappeared from DVP shortly after I joined. (I THINK that was a coincidence... :? )

Yes it was.
I won't identify the ladies in this group -- but they will know who they are.
