I was hoping that with only 4 of Scurras left the meta would soon fall into place and I could concentrate on the rabbity puzzles, but I'm struggling with the last four.

I have an overload of puzzles to do! I have all but four puzzles on this issue to do, most of the previous issue and all of Bunnylumps puzzles (and the next mag will arrive in the next few weeks!)

Yes, I must confess that this is bothering me slightly. I might have to have a "Hintylump evening" or something to get anyone going on bits they are stuck on so that it doesn't all clash with the next issue. I'll speak to himself about that if people think that's a good idea. But to be honest, I don't think my puzzles will take anything like the same amount of time to complete. Most of them don't have nearly so many "layers" in them. And ones which are taking a long time - it's most likely to be because they are not "Simple and Obvious" enough.

Don't worry Kingsley - I've never finished a magazine YET. There's a growing pile for when some disaster happens (leg amputation, or something) and I'm layed up in bed for a year.

And the great thing about this issue is that it really is possible to solve the Metapuzzle without having finished all of the rest - and you can then go back to them if you really want to. We all know that Cenwulf spotted the solution when he still had quite a lot left - and others of us also had maybe 5 or 6 still left to do. Have you tried playing around with the answers you have got and thinking about the relevance of their common factor? There is now also an official hint to point you in the right direction. It is more straighforward than some of the previous Meta's!

I'm so far behind at present it's not funny - I can't see me ever catching up until maybe the weather changes and I can't get outside.

Yes Looby - I can't believe you are still gardening outside at midnight - so that's when to do your puzzling. :D
Or just sit down outside with one for a change. ;)

In our first home - back in the bad old days when I had to work during the day - the neighbours were quite used to seeing me doing the gardening by the light from the street lamps.

 My Dad used to fix the roof on the top of the scaffolding at night. He is like me and afraid of heights. This meant he couldn't see the floor.

As someone who hates heights as well - like the logic - never thought to try that one out :!: :?

The neighbours did think he was completely mental though. But then they thought the rest of us were too.

I once cut the hedge round our garden at 4.30 am. The tricky part was raking up the cuttings without scaping the rake on the path.

My Dad is something else. He makes me look normal. For instance, how many people do you know who BUY stuff off the rag and bone man? (He always had some madcap project on the go). It was hideously embarassing as a teenager when the rag and bone man used to stop outside our house and knock to ask if "the old gentleman" would be interested in buying some piece of junk.

Sorry Scurra I'm going off thread, I know, I know....

Be afraid. Be VERY afraid. Looby tying you to a lamppost will have NOTHING on what I will have in store for you. Hmmmm. (Starts plotting...)

Yeah. Naked? How about covering him in treacle too? (wasps love it).

No. This is far too tame for a comment like that. More suggestions needed, I feel.
