it is a problem sometimes isn't it.

I have just been having a little laugh. My OH bought a new hedge trimmer as he sliced right through the cable of the last one and couldn't mend it. Guess what he just sliced through the new one but luckily my son has managed a sort of junction box to mend it this time. I am not sure if this is his way of avoiding the gardening or we should lock him indoors for his own safety

Mines runs on batteries!!...as does the strimmer. The lawn mower and chain saw are petrol driven. :D

I wish I had known you could get ones without a lead - we have a petrol mower which is a lot easier than the corded one which were always a bit of a hazard. If it needs replacing again we will definately get one without a cord.

Welcome back Strep!! And of course we missed you!! You were lucky with the weather, weren't you?? :D

And yes, Clvrlad...I do have a spanner. And an uncanny ability to make electronic equipment stop working and fuse. So BE AFRAID.

I have a dangerously long list of grievances...
