You have post delivered on a bank holiday Monday. Your postie must be breaking union rules.

No - its not a bank holiday in Scotland ( I get it because I work for a bank) The main Autumn holiday in Scotland is September weekend - the last monday in september. With the exception of the banks everyone is working the kids are in school , anyway its too soon for the kids to be off - they only went back 2 weeks ago.
BUT it is typical bank holiday weather - it is WET!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ah I see. Forgot that you have different bank hols up there. We used to live not too far from you, many years ago, in Helensburgh.

The day we moved up it was sunny as we crossed the border. Removal men arrived the following morning and by the time they had unloaded it was raining. It then rained or snowed every day for the next three months.

I know that feeling well - we have had quite a lot of rain in August - But when the sun comes out the view is something else. We have friends in Holland who love to come over - funily though when the come the sun does shine - Ton cant understand why my sister and I like to go and see Holland - -He keeps saying Holland is too flat - he wants mountains

Ah - the famous Scotish 'holiday' system - different from village to village

Not sure to laugh or cry at that statement - round here they haven't even got BACK to school yet, and I think they have this week (SEVENTH week) off as well
No - I don't have kids - I just end up dealing with everybody elses

When we moved here it was foggy for the first two weeks it didn't lift at all. I didn't dare leave the house, because I had only been to the area twice before we moved in and I wasn't sure I'd find the way back.

I thought "Whatever have we done?" Every year when we have a foggy spell it reminds me of those two weeks.

It's bank holiday here in Northern Ireland too! So I'll have to wait until tomorrow.

I also received mine yesterday. My first thought was that this is still August I had forgotten about bank holidays. Fantastic mag. with lovely colours and pretty pictures. I think I'll just admire it and ignore the puzzles. Then again .......

Fernando had me worried when he told me his was here, but there was no envelope for giraffe! But mine has my real name on it so it was there, just in disguise.

Very baffled now I've actually seen the puzzles.

I haven't got mine either

There's no point in having a last minute if you don't use it!
