I'd love to know what you did say.
Just got back from fetching my son who'd missed the last train home but at least managed to get one to a neighbouring town.

Mine is!

He's given up his birthday treat out (golf lesson) out of concern for nanny - she's been hit in her car. Just come back from local accident and injuries unit and just going back out to the "proper" hospital A&E. They wanted (as a precaution) to blue light her across on a board with neck braces. Hopefully it's just whiplash but they suspect vertebral fracture.

(Um... quick request for legal insurance type people to give a quick answer by pm on something, if that's alright.)

I hope so - she's very upset, and we're all shaken.

Oh dear! I hope she's ok SparkOut!! Do send her well wishes. And remember to take care of yourself too. I've had a nasty whiplash injury caused by a crash before, and so I have lots of sympathy. My advice is to go on the waiting list for physio asap. That really helped me, but I waited far too long in agony before I got to see them. The insurance claim took about 18 months, but was some consolation when they did eventually pay out. The scariest thing was the flashbacks I kept getting every time I was at a t junction.

And as for your son...what a sweetie pie. Wish him a happy birthday anyway, and make sure he does something fun once nanny's better, won't you? :D

Just back from A&E, apparently without a fracture, but they weren't too sure, so hoping for the best. Still a painful neck injury, and she's numb in parts of the face. At least it's hopeful that she'll be OK before too long.

Oh, hopefully that's good news then, thank goodness. You must be so worried and exhausted though. >hug<

Are they keeping her in for observation?

Oh I do hope she's OK Sparkout. What a worry! Tell her a load of strangers are all concerned about her and wishing her well - as long as that won't make her feel worse.

She will recover better at home where she knows where everything is and where she will be most comfortable - Hope she is feeling much better - Take care and take your lovely son out for his Golf treat when all is well
