Kingsley knows how much I hate percussion ensembles, I have been known to sit with my fingers in my ears at concerts!
(I came up with one for Gases, but decided not to lower the tone of the thread )

Re: Word Sentence Game
(To MBH) and well done for keeping the tone nice and low, so that I don't look so base!!
To Giraffe - you do know my OH's a drummer, don't you? Next time we meet I'll make a point of arranging a nice little percussion ensemble especially for you. Mind you we all have our pet hates, mine being badly played descant recorders and violins.

I'm with you on the violins and recorders. I could cope with a couple of minutes of percussion, but 20 to 30 minutes I find excruciating. I can appreciate the skill, but it hurts my ears.

I've never heard bagpipes indoors. I tought xylophones would be ok, but the bonging was dreadful on the ears, almost as bad as the drum thing that followed. (It's probably my ears that are over sensitive)

DECIBELS
Distorted

Completely
Inevitable -
Bagpipes
Extremely,
Laudibly
Sonorous
(Wind chimes, fine, bagpipes, well, let's be honest here, it'd be hard to say they were an ENJOYABLE sound, but they are cool and definitely distinctive, so I'd vote them in. However, if you bring them into my living room I suspect all the neighbours would have something to say about that -well, apart from Ethel, who is 80 and a bit Mutt and Jeff!).Do remember here, this house is FILLED with various random musical instruments. I finally got rid of the double bass, but we still have 2 pianos, 6 guitars, drum kit, saxophhone and then lots of random things like castanets, pan pipes, and Lord knows what else!! We could have Giraffe running away from here screaming!!
