FINIS!!!!

Many thanks to those who helped, in particular to LAT for guiding me through the looking-glass world of the Renaissance section and helping me traverse the Scurralous route from the completed grid to the finishing line.

WHEW!

Now I can give my brain a bit of a rest until Christmas... unless Squirrel comes up with something nutty to send us loopy until issue 2 comes out.

I wouldn't say SparkOut has "finished" exactly. But he has found Madame Arcana's prediction, so congratulations are in order.

And my guess that no-one would come close to solving Pisces before someone found the final answer has been proved right

Thanks - I don't feel congratulations are in order too much though. I'm feeling a bit deflated about it to be honest - I only tried making a stab at the answer having played around with the list of answers I had and sort of stumbled on an idea and put 2 & 2 together to make 26.
I really don't have an idea about the last puzzles at the moment, and I'd like to get those knocked on the head before celebrating.

Oh I don't know. You've now demonstrated that you have figured out how it works, even if you've still got some missing answers. So I think congratulations are definitely in order.

Now the real question is how long you can resist those ever-so-polite requests for hints? Because people have learned that they can't get any from me

Congratulations to Sparkout.
Scurra suspected you might be first to get the final answer when we were chatting over Christmas - I reckoned it'd be one of the girls but I guess Scurra knows you all well!
So, how long before you work out the fish?
