Well it looks like Bunnylump (3 to go), and Cenwulf (2 to go) are in the running at the moment. That's not including number 44, hope you've got a good answer for that one ;)

Tehe indeed! I didn't go to Oakham though, just teach there!

I've got 3 left to do - 19, 25 and 46

16th Dec

Just 19 and 46 to do. Have an idea for 46.

I think I've solved 20, which gives me 48 out of 49, but I'm clueless on 19 (metaphorically) and 44 (literally).
We can't enter the 'Oakham in Bloom' thing as the Evil one has withheld one of the clues.

So he hasn't given us the clue for number 44 (which is why I'm literally clueless).
Or didn't you notice there were only 49 clues?

Bunnylump is quite right. I have presented it to you in exactly the same way that it was presented (in hard copy in exchange for £1 entry fee) to me and the other puzzlers of Oakham! :) 8-)

Kathlyn has made the first entry, scoring 48/50. :)

Edit: After convincing me about one of her answers, and submitting no 44, Kathlyn now has 50/50 so is the winner! Well done!

I'll wait for a few more entries before I put the answers up.

If Kathlyn has submitted no 44 (as there isn't a clue 44), she can only have 49/49. Or do you mean she has submitted a No. 44 of her own devising?

Cenwulf also has 50/50! Not all the answers are the same as mine of Kathlyn's, but as I don't know the official answers (yet), and answer that fits is OK!

Edit: In fact I think that Cenwulf might have the edge on Kathlyn at this point, as one of his answers was better than the one I had! :)

So far Pebbles - yes to both your answers.
Bunny - yes to yours.
LAT - yes to your first answer for 3 and 7 . No to 12.
MBH - yes to both your answers.
Cenwulf- yes to 4, and 17. 11 and 13 yes but there is another acceptable answer for each.

Still some more to do 8, 9, 10, 12, 14 and 15.
