...finding it hard to get into the Chrimbo spirit. Despite the build-up to the Big Day, I'm feeling a little bored. Everything's progressing (cake iced, tree and decorations up, wrapping in progress) but I'm not really with it. It could be a hangunder - it's been Christmassy so long I'm fed up with it. Or maybe I've had a bad reaction to Christmas - tinselitis, perhaps.

Oo er - I just hope they haven't had as much as we have. About 5 inches now...

Well if I was, then I'd be coming to see you, as the Suffolk bit was to visit my parents on the way! In view of the weather we've decided to abandon that bit, but I still need to get to Stansted to pick up the returning trip later :(

I hope the flight isn't diverted Evilkeen. My BiL tells me they have 6 inches of snow with more coming down. I once paid over the odds to fly into Leeds Bradford to cut out middle of the night travel, and they took me into Gatwick and then onto a coach. It would be a bit of a bummer if they land in - say Manchester- instead :(

Waiting for some comments on the front page advert for the next issue. I'm guessing you all have the forum bookmarked.
Before you ask- I only know about 50% of it and I'm assuming the bunny is in the same position.

I saw the front page advert and was wondering why it keeps changing - looking forward to its arrival as I have really been too busy to puzzle and hope I can make a fresh start for 2010. Also band of brothers - isn't that a pc game? or am i getting confused?

Can't wait for christmas - we are at home with just the kids - My oh has been on the booze run and got champagne as it has the least calories (how good is that). and we don't have to tidy the house particularly as it is just us.

Been invited to a post christmas/ pre new year party which was real fun last year and just looking forward to a completely indulgent lazy time. Just four more "works" to get through.

Argh, it's not going to be like one of those Radio Times editions with more than one front cover is it? So we have to buy more than one copy... :(

Don't give me ideas

And as for being "mysterious" Ms Bunny, I think we've had that particular one out already. But I would like to note that a puzzle magazine has to be mysterious, otherwise there's not a lot of point to it...

Hmm, true...

'It's only mysterious if you don't know the answer'...

Or was that.. 'It's only easy if you know the answer'...

Not sure what you mean by book marked. Does that make it pop up automaticly if it changes?

I've not been on that page for ages as I only go there when I solve a puzzle.

Don't listen to that Jester. He has something up his sleeve. I even went to the extent of saving his last message just in case he denies mysteriousness again!!

Scurra - you'd make a rubbish poker player... ;)

Not quite....

I always type into the address bar www.puzzlebrains.co.uk (especially when out at work, etc). This brings me to the front page where all the mag covers are shown.

If you've gone past that into the forum (with a /forum in the address bar) then you bypass the shop window. Some people may have 'bookmarked' or 'made a favorite' of that address and don't get the login screen the rest of us do.

I just leave the forum on. So I only ever have to fish it out of favourites if the computer decides to restart itself in the middle of the night, which it does even when I turn it off.

Bookmarked = added to favourites

I thought that it was a case of indicating the next issue and drawing attention to the next one in the pipeline too. As an indication that we've got at least 4 months of PB planned out in advance and production/testing work in progress. And stuff like that. I didn't think it was "strange". I'll be prepared to change my mind if there is a Band of Brothers sub version of the Baker's Dozen issue in January though.

 What makes you think I'm not doing THAT already??

And if I'm honest, I'd be the worst poker player in the whole world. I just can't keep a straight face (not that I've ever played poker anyway because I don't gamble, ever). I'm spectacularly useless at lying too - I just go red and squirm about. So I just tell the truth 99% of the time and people never believe what I say anyway.
