Happy New Year from here too.

I spent this morning driving through the snizzle (snowy drizzle) to fetch my children from assorted overnight parties. One got to bed at 3am and the other got in from the party he went to with a friend at 2am when they then watched a film until 4am. I expect they will be rather grumpy later.

Just found this random fact: Female giraffes weigh 1540-2600 lb (700-1182 kg) on average

Which leads me to believe that my number 1 new year's resolution may not be as desperately needed as I thought. I'm not too far above average.

I am planning to do something drastic. I sent a lary drunken woman photo of me having a new year kiss from my girl friend (no not THAT kind of girlfriend silly) to someone (mentioning no names) and it was just so shocking. I found myself wondering who that fat slapper was. It was me. Help.

SOOOO after work I went to Tesco and bought about half a tonne of fruit and vegetables, and NO cheese, butter, biscuits etc. And now I keep wandering into the kitchen, looking in the fridge, thinking "bother, there's a load of vegetables" and going away again. It doesn't stop me, of course, from going back an hour later to find that there is STILL nothing in the fridge...

I got up this morning at half past six for the first time in weeks and wondered who the ancient woman in the mirror was. Gave myself quite a fright!

I know the feeling. One of the men at work said "You ok? It's just you look like you've had a night out on the town!" If only.

At least you guys don't have a bug drawing in your "laugh lines" with a marker while you are taking a nap! I never realized how many tiny little creases I refused to believe I had until she did that

Just had a message from Thomas (remember him?) wishing us a happy new year. He's working full time in John Lewis at the moment to save up enough money to help pay for his university course which he's starting next year. Anyway he had a good Christmas and said hi. :D

I'm really chuffed that he still keeps in touch. There aren't that many lads of that age who would take the trouble. What a sweetiepie. :D

He's just scared of you, that's all. (I am, of course, speaking from experience here :D)
Never put off till tomorrow what you can do the day after tomorrow.

 So does that mean you're going to keep speaking to me and occasionally send me a message of goodwill? When is this going to start then?

2011 approaches...

It's that time of year again. It doesn't seem possible, does it?

Anyway, since I'm fairly unlikely to get a chance to get on here tomorrow (glances at the time...or henceforth referred to as "today" ) I'd like to wish all my friends on Puzzlebrains very happy new year.

:D

I would like to wish everyone A Happy New Year when it comes. I have visitors from New Zealand so won't manage on tomorrow. They have found this weather a bit of a culture shock. Although they had their first shock arriving at Heathrow and being told that due to snow there was no flights to Edinburgh. They were then offered flights back to Auckland! After a lot of hassle they joined with another couple and hired a car to drive up. They have now been here about 10 days and are more or less over the jetlag.
Here's to another year happy puzzling.

I wish everyone at PB a Happy New Year. 2010 brought me nothing but illness and stress (but on the plus side I got a new Grandson!) . I also end this year with illness. Today is the first time Ive been out of bed since Boxing Day. So 2011 better bring great things! BTW, if everything goes to plan I will be getting married some time in May 2011 so I have that to look forward to! :D
