Just keep up the care and attention and we'll hope she recovers eventually - these things can take time. I think vets are incredibly fantastic people, it must be so hard to diagnose mystery illnesse when the patient can't communicate. Although, come to think of it, perhaps it's sometimes easier for them than for doctors when the patient is insistent that they know exactly what's wrong with them!

Scurra if you want me to take these off because they're too big, or want me to remove them in a couple of days, let me know.

This is the view from my living room. Cat NOT impressed.

He isn't much of a conversationalist though...

The pole behind has a basketball net and board on it. I tried to make a giant snow basketball, then shot it in the hope that it would lodge in the basket. I was totally unprepared for the fact that I shot so well and it came right through and exploded on my head.

didn't struggle into work - instead did twice as much work at home (although family think i am just skiving) - my mum said my dad made it to work even though he is 78 and had ear ache!!! -i guess i will just have to live with the perfect dad. glad I took the day at home as my daughter got increasingly ill from the antibiotics she was taking so that by 5 she was just sicking up bile. Phoned the doctor who said "yes she had ethecaminin(wrong spelling) - I had that and I felt really sick - i certainly wouldnt touch it with a barge pole - my question would be why did one of the other doctors b*****dy prescribe it then. Hope she feels better soon - just seems to be sick every 20 mintues and it hurts in her chest when she breaths. - she now thinks she would have rather put up with the lumps in her neck than gone through this - and now I have to persuade her to start new antibiotics - some hope:(

Oh dear, that sounds nasty. I hope she gets better soon. :) My friend's daughter had a similar experience with erithromycin - it made her really poorly too. She's not allowed to have that any more.

It's all right for you lot - it's up past my hips and expected to do my business out there :o

At least Dad helps me get all the snowballs off my paws and from under my chin when I go back in again....

in the midst of my daugther being sick Biscuit (our cat) tried to "settle down" in the corner of my daughters room - admitedly it is so untidy it could be mistaken for a litter tray - - I had to grab her and thrust her into the garden (not my daugther - the cat) to sort herself out. She certainly was not very willing

Also today I studiesly worked on my laptop whilst all my neighbours (talking adults as well as children) had gone in the back field to make snowmen - when I finally realised they had and was going to join in they had all gone back indoors:(

Too much work and not enough fun - I think this should be my new Years resolution - more fun less work and less worringly that people think I am not working.

That sounds like an excellent resolution, Biscuit! :D

 Just for one minute I thought it was MBH who had to do his "business out there"!! Isn't it about time they installed you a dog loo indoors, Jennie? My cat just keeps GLARING at the snow.

I thought MBH's snow was past HIS hips and that he meant he had to go to work ie business! We had a couple of inches last night, but we managed to get out and the bus for the kids to get to school was only a minute late. (Although 30 mins late by the time it got to school) I'm worried that the road will freeze solid tonight and we might be stuck tomorrow.

Just tomorrow? Our car has only been out of our drive twice since mid December. It, and the road in front of it, is lethal. The six or seven inches of snow we've had over the past 2 days went on top the frozen snow that hadn't gone from before xmas.

I've been wondering the same thing. My son has to go to Cornwall this weekend (they might be on the same train, Biscuit!!). I'm just wondering if the trains will be running - he has to go into London and back out again, then change at Truro. If they're not that'll be a nightmare journey for us. :( He has to be back because he has an exam.

i think the trains will be more reliable than the roads - kara is taking the car so fingers crossed. My oh took the train from hertford to stevenage today and said it was much better than the roads and will do the same tomz.

Mind you, often the motorways aren't too bad. It's getting to the motorway that is the tricky bit. At least most of her journey will presumably be on either the motorway or at least very main roads.

We have had about 9 inches of snow in the last 24 hours or so. And looking at the weather forecast I dion't envisage being able to move my car for several days. At the moment it looks like a snow covered mound in front of the house.
But one kitten is still venturing outside from time to time. She is a bit confused by it though.

My son is planning on going to a party in Manchester on Friday then he has to get home again on Saturday before going back to Uni on Sunday. It is looking as though he will have to go back by train with what he can carry and we will follow with the rest of his stuff when we can get a car out of our road.
