I think they're a good idea too, but by the time I've worked out what they mean, eveyone else will have finished the mag!

Kingsley, (well, and anyone else who is interested) here is the EASY way to decipher them:

All you do is type the message into the box, and then change the number (using the drop-down menu) until it makes sense!! Sorry, Scurra, I know that's cheating really!
You're only given a little spark of madness. You mustn't lose it.

The fish tanks in the middle spread are just a "tranquilarium" which you can stare at for a while and relax the mind for a bit, having been wound up with the rest of the middle pages.

Haven't you written your own caesar shifter? Hmm... wonder if there's a gap in the market here?...

I'm probably going to move a lot of this thread into the issue two forum - I realise that you can't see it yet, but people should get their passwords by email tomorrow (well, I'm going to send them in about five minutes) and then I shall enable the forum for people tomorrow evening, so don't panic if you can't see it straight away.
And yes, you will find a thread all about the fish ready and waiting for you

Well if you pay attention, you don't even need to wonder about what number to use

Never put off till tomorrow what you can do the day after tomorrow.
All of my puzzles are simple and obvious. For certain values of "simple" and "obvious".

I'm turning green with envy. No magazine, no password. I think my mag took a nice long flying break on some nice warm island south of here. It didn't like the cold from where it came and it heard that our temperature is dropping too.

And I've been sitting there with a code wheel I printed off google...

That's a beautifully useful website bunnylump. I can't tell you how many pieces of paper I have running around with the alphabet written on it! Now I have a webpage bookmarked. So much easier.

I entered my password mid-morning and I still haven't had the right bit of the forum opened up to me.

As this is a similar problem to what I had with the last issue I'm assuming that I'll be able to get on by tomorrow, but in the meantime, I'm going to moan here.
I'm stuck.
I've think I've done virgo and possibly most of aquarius, but apart from that I don't know what to do, even though I've used Bunnylump's decoding website on the hints (which seem to me like they've been put there to amuse the puzzler when they're stuck on the actual puzzles, as they haven't helped me at all

)

At least you have your password. Got most of Sagittarius done, most of aquarius, a bit of leo, aries and virgo and odd bits of all the rest but not taurus as i can't do cryptic crosswords at all.
I don't have hot flushes. I have short holidays in the Tropics.
