Now tell us how well you did. :D

(It's probably not good for me to admit that I got about half of the boards completely right (10 points) on my first pass... Although given that they are all boards from the show, it may just be a good memory. I didn't consciously remember any though.)

I didn't keep count. But I did get quite a few 10s. And as you know I have the world's worst memory, so I'm doing it fresh each time. I must say I'm not surprised you're good at this. I'm convinced your brain is full of filing cabinets with random (and useless) trivia stored in it.* Mine's just a big heap of crossed wires, with dull patches and the occasional short circuit...

*But then because I spend all day having to take in stuff, inwardly absorb it and then refigure it so that kids can understand it, I have to have a system whereby I blot excess information out and automatically relocate it into my mind's recycle bin. Otherwise I'd implode.

This isn't really "passing the time", but it really made me laugh.

Probably why I liked it... (Yes I do have a weird sense of humour). But then get this. My 22 year old daughter has just been out tonight for a real rave of an evening. They all went to the pub...and took their KNITTING with them!

I love the TV programme. Daughter and I spend Monday evening screaming answers at the TV of now to see if I can do it for myself.

Oh, and isn't Victoria Coren a delightful mix of sarcasm and irritating smugness? I must say, though, that I had to turn the sound off when I did this website. They use the same sarcastic comment from her each time you don't solve one, and by the end I would have happily punched her...

No, Clvrlad, I didn't take knitting to the pub, AND I am not the teetotaller of the family. It's her who shows me a good example. I don't choose to FOLLOW it but there you go. They do say that children react to try to be the opposite of their parents, don't they? See, I've done her a favour by being me. :D  (It didn't work with the other one though...

Trust me. Try it with the sound on and just you see how long it would take you to want to punch her. I am actually a pacifist, but I could be tempted to change the habit of a lifetime...

Well the easy solution is not to get any of the answers wrong

For those who enjoyed the previous games in this series:

Dismantling an Alarm Clock

Click on the screwhead to start.
(Note that the top and side of the clock have clues on them but you aren't really told this.)

How do you get to the top and sides? I only seem to have front and back.

On the back of the clock you can click on the narrow sides - but there's nothing to show you that you can, so you may need to try in several places before you find the right spot. I only found the top by accident, and then tried to see if the sides had anything as well.

I can see the top now, but the sides won't show.

It's possible that you can only see the side when you need the clue that is on there?
I honestly can't remember now.

Probably, I've sorted out one side, but it doesn't seem to have revealed the other side, so I'm clearly doing something wrong.

There are more hidden screws than meet the eye..... You have to solve each part before you can move on to the next. The clue on the side relates to the colours on the inside. I don't think there is anything on the other side - once you've solved the clue on the first side, the rest is all inside the clock, I think.

Just come across this

I can't get past chapter 1 yet, but it looks quite interesting, so I might persevere.

Not a game, but I've been rather enjoying this:

I've just seen that and enjoyed a game before logging on here :) I've still 'got it'.

Very clever use of the graphic - totally in the spirit of the original, but unique to Google.
