Re: It's a boy!
Me too!!
Lovely to see you here Tiddlerpuss!!
And yes, we're still all gooey over Thomas, and I even had one of those "unnecessary" moments when I saw the pictures of Uncle Scurra's first meeting of him too. But don't tell him, will you? I don't want him to know I'm a soppy cow.

Re: It's a boy!
Well, I was looking for the News and Announcements thread that I seem to remember being on here, but I came across this first, and it seemed appropriate.
So, sorry to hijack Thomas' thread, but I'd like to announce the arrival of my little nephew Reuben Timothy, who was born on Monday morning. That means that GMaal is now a daddy, and nethy is a grandad, but neither of them seem to actually get on the website much, so I'm posting this instead!!!

Re: It's a boy!
Probably. I don't think i'd better post any pics, cos I think Mummy and Daddy might not want pictures on the internet. That's the impression I've got anyway. He is gorgeous though. Thankyou all for your congratulations.

Re: It's a boy!
In my experience, the bigger ones are the ones which sleep longer. My first was 5lb 3oz (at 7 weeks premature - which is a minor miracle) and woke every hour, night and day for feeding. My second was 9lb 3oz and he used to feed for 5 mins then sleep for 5 hours. (Mind you, now he feeds for 5 hours then sleeps for 19!!) Ah, those were the days.

Re: It's a boy!
my second child was 6 lb 5 oz and was 10 days overdue - she went to whole bottles v v quickly and was awake all night and slept most of the day- she has the same problem now at 19. My son was 8 lb 11 and was also very hungry - the health visitor said to start weaning at 6 weeks but said i should not tell anyone she suggested it. my son slept a lot better and was larger so this seems to confirm the trend.

Re: It's a boy!
Each of mine was a pound heavier than the last, and all overdue. I stopped when no. 3 was 9lbs 4oz, didn't think I could cope with the thought of 10lbs 4oz Oh and the smallest was the best sleeper, 14 hours a night at 6 months old. (Good job too since OH was working in Japan and so I was single parenting most of the time)

Congratulations. My three were sensible sizes 7lbs 3oz (didn't double his birth weight till he was 2 and even at 23 is still scrawny and only 9 stone)slept ok but every feed lasted 4 hours (nightmare). then 7lb and biggest was my daughter at 7lb13oz (and at 14 she is taller than both older brothers, not good I can tell you)
I don't have hot flushes. I have short holidays in the Tropics.

Congratulations Pebbles, I spotted that on the songs thread, but Congratulations would have been a non-sequitur there!
