Happy Birthday from me too!
Re: Happy Birthday
Thank you all! I've had a lovely day so far, just hanging about the house with my sister and brother-in-law, and gorgeous little two-week-old nephew, otherwise known as Bun! It's been made all the better by the fact that I've finally got an answer to not one, but TWO whole puzzles!!! There hasn't been much time for puzzling recently, what with new arrivals and other chaos, but with four of us (5 if you include Bun) around the table this afternoon, we finally got somewhere. Hurray!!
And Gill, yes, I know I live in the rhubarb triangle. There is a "sculpture" at the corner of the park just down the road of a stick of rhubarb. It's basically a wooden column about 12 ft tall with bits of canopy forming the leaves, that local youths throw rubbish into. I don't blame them really; it looks ridiculous and is just very tempting.

Glad you've had a lovely day. I'd not heard of the rhubarb triangle until yesterday

Now that's weird, I heard about the Rhubarb Triangle yesterday, I just can't remember where though.

Many Happy Returns Laura
12-foot rhubarb ??? You must have some big pie-dishes down there
{Not a fan of the stuff myself, but they look an incredible plant with those massive leaves}

Re: Happy Birthday
My sister lives down in cambridge now and she had to take an article into work to get her colleagues to believe that the rhubarb triangle existed, and that they light the forcing sheds with candles still (The Carbon dioxide helps the rhubarb grow apparently), and that you can hear the leaves squeaking as they open and move against each other, they grow so quickly.

Rhubarb leaves are much bigger than that in proportion to the height.

Re: Happy Birthday
I have to agree that it doesn't look like rhubarb at all. I've got some in my garden. (And I love it - like I said, MBH and I are Jack Sprat and his e sister as far as food goes... )
You're only given a little spark of madness. You mustn't lose it.
