Don't worry, I'm not planning on landing on your doorstep. Well, not today, anyway. I've never been to your area at all though, I've only ever kind of whizzed past en route to Scotland.

Goodness gracious! Was it landing or setting off? EDIT Just spotted caption.

We've had them landing in the primary school field just up from us before - they were so near our roof when they went over, they shouted to us "do you want your chimneys cleaned while we're here!"

That's a good picture, LAT!

I was sitting in bed having a cup of tea when I heard the burners, I couldn't believe how close it was!

Lucky they could land in that small flat bit by the looks of it, with all those trees around, could have been tricky!!

They came in from the right of the picture where there is a bit more flatish ground. But they couldn't have gone much further before getting into trouble. And I think they had a bit of a job making sure the balloon fell down where they could roll it up OK.

oooh, gorgeous LAT!
I remembering living in Bristol briefly and having a view right over the city - they have an International Balloon Festival every august and the wind was just right, so they all flew over our house - spectacular!

 Now that would make a grand entrance, wouldn't it?? Do you think I'd manage to land a balloon outside your front door, MBH?? I would have to be blindfolded, naturally (fear of heights). Do you suppose Mrs. MBH would be a bit alarmed if a blindfolded purple rabbit arrived for tea in a hot air balloon, or does this kind of thing happen often in Geordieland?? :D

Sorry - lunatic intermission. The gardening's gone to me heed.

Would it have to involve hot air balloons?
