   I would have done exactly the same! In fact, I did, when my stupid son had his ear pierced and it went green... I also laughed when his eyebrows that he shaved off one night itched when they grew back.

sometimes adults say the most amazing things -

Lying on the beach and trying hard not to listen in on a dad's conversation with his son (aged about 6-7) i heard the following

Son "I'm frightened about the fish in the sea"
Dad "Remember more people eat fish than fish eat people"
Dad "make sure you stay in the buoys when you go in the water"
Son "other people aren't"
Dad "they are naughty people. There are jet skiers and I know of two cases when a jet ski has taken off someone's head and someone has had to pick up the head by the hair and asked "Whose head is this?"

We couldn't stop laughing - the boy looked terrrified - will certainly be in need of therapy later in life but i am sure he was going to stay int he designated area.

What a dreadful thing to say to a small boy  I hope he didn't have nightmares about finding stray heads in the water.

Yes, I am so relieved that MBH is only my long lost cousin, not my secret twin. :D

 He'd have to be your triplet. And then you'd have to be MY triplet too. Now, if that isn't a scary thought, I don't know what is.

All I can say is you didn't see me dressed in 3 jumpers and a Bugs Bunny hat yesterday...

No, I borrowed it from my friend. But then she does live in Sutton Coldfield, so what do you expect? (I have lots of stories about her but it wouldn't be fair to put them on here...especially since I'm buying her the next issue of PB and she might get to read this... )

My daughter's just been to Woburn safari park. While she was in the lemur section, she overheard a teenager asking
"These lemurs. Are they the things that are in that Meercat advert?"  Well, I should have THOUGHT they are probably MEERCATS.... :?

and then in the squirrel monkey bit
child "Mummy, are they rats?"
parent "Don't be silly. They are squirrels". Duh. No, they're MONKEYS.

Amazingly, yes. She spends all day correcting stupid kids. I think weekends and holidays she just laughs wisely from a distance...
