That makes me think of those exercises you used to have to do in school - use the following word in a sentence
Election, colour and fluff

Well most politicians seem to have fluff for brains, so that would be quite an easy sentence.

Reading that I was beginning to wonder what you were all drinking last night. (Had me in stitches)

We don't need alcohol to be silly. We can do that all on our own. And I agree that politicians only have fluff for brains. And if they don't have fluff they have something nasty to replace it. I'm appalled to note we have a BNP candidate for our town. Sorry, bit too political...

... up, showered, dressed, and making a LARGE packed lunch/dinner/snacks.

Did you know there were two 4-o'clocks?

Where most people on duty need to get to the polling station - I need to go and GET the polling station and drive it to where it needs to stand.

Yes - I've got a LONG day ahead of me  but at least I get some extra pay for it :D

I'm fine today thank you. I think I'm allergic to the school I teach at in Sheffield. I always get migraines on the days that I teach there, and not on other days. I'm now trying to narrow it down a bit to something specific that I might be doing that triggers it, so that I can stop doing it!

Its not a colleague's perfume/aftershave is it? Brut aftershave used to do that to me.

I had a new bathroom extractor fan fitted today and it was like a comedy show. I warned the fitter that birds had previously nested behind the existing fan. I heard a shout of "open the front door quick" as the fitter came racing down the stairs and promptly launched my bin into the garden. He'd stuck his hand into the hole to remove the bird nest (or so he thought) and came out with a bee's nest    At the time OH was out, so when he came back he carried the bin back in- wondering why it was out there in the first place- but the bees were still in it. Out it went again. The new fan was fitted, fitter shook the bin about a bit, gave it a spray with killer stuff and put it inside my back door where it stayed for a couple of hours. Then there was an almighty humming. This time it went out the backdoor into the garden and I've drowned them all (hopefully!) with the garden hose. I shall buy a new bin tomorrow.

 Sounds like a comedy routine!!

Mind you it's a shame about the bees. For future reference you can sometimes get local beekeepers to come out and collect them for you (using smoke).

Yes, it was a shame about the bees.

Had I known they were there, the course of action would have been very different. Given a choice of who was living in my kitchen it had to be me and not them, and it looked like they had other ideas.

I know that at least the old queen had left the nest last week. It took me 2 hours to shoo her out of the window. I thought she'd come in from the garden. Bees dont scare me but this one was the biggest I'd ever seen and kept zoming in on me

I love bees but my body doesn't. We have lavender bushes surrounding our patio and the bees love it. Trouble is that if I walk past them up the steps it's hard to avoid getting stung and I react really badly to bee stings (massive swelling, feel really poorly). I think it runs in the family. My grampy used to keep bees and eventually developed such an allergy to them he once went into anaphalactic shock and nearly died! He had to get rid of his bees. :( Then my Dad had a hive down our garden when I was a little girl, which he had to get rid of because I used to bang on the side of the hive (when I was about 4) and make the bees swarm and sting the neighbours!!

learning to change nappies and drive a pushchair. The nappy changing resulted in no casulaties, but the pushchair driving got two! One was Bun's dad, which is not too bad, but the other was a random stranger who just didn't move fast enough. Oops!

Even after three children I never learnt to drive mine without crashing. I decided in the end that the wheels were wider than the handle and as I couldn't see them I couldn't judge where they were! (That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.)

 I never quite got the hang of that either! Mind you I hit someone with a supermarket trolley yesterday too!

to see the Snake Davis Band. He's a brilliant saxophonist, who plays alto, tenor, soprano sax, and also the flute, recorder and Harper whistles. It was at our local Old Town Hall, which is a charming venue which seats about 130 people, so you get to be right up close. Often quite high profile people will try out their shows here before commencing a tour (comedians such as Eddie Izzard etc.) The only problem with the venue is that the rows are too close together, and if you have long legs you end up sitting sideways or clashing with the person next to you.

He played a mixture of his own compositions (jazz / funk / fusion) and some versions of well known songs (Michael Jackson, Bob Marley). The set up was a drummer, a brilliant keyboard player who was using his keyboard in conjunction with an Apple Mac and Logic to create some really interesting sounds, and, much to our pleasure and surprise, an old friend of ours who is a fantastic bass guitarist (and who had composed some of the music).

If you ever see them advertised, I'd strongly recommend you go and see them. It was a wonderful mixture of chilled out, relaxing music, and bouncy foot-tapping feelgood music. "Snake" himself came across as a really lovely, chilled out man, with a sense of humour who really involved the audience. I had a fantastic evening and came away having bought two albums! :D

moving my son and his girlfriend from a bed sit to a 2 bed flat (goodness knows where they put everything in the bed sit, it took 2 transit runs to move them)

Been at a concert this evening. Very entertaining mixture of drama, dance and music, and an outstanding clarinet solo.
