...trying to simultaneously check on here as hints and as me whilst making a sticky toffee pudding* for a meal for my friend's birthday. I call that true multitasking!! (mind you I now have a sticky keyboard - oops!)

*This is to be incorporated as part of the "Bunny diet", which tonight will also include Moroccan lamb tagine and red wine... :?

I must say, I didn't think this issue was sufficiently bad to make both Scurra AND Gill leave the country**...

Today, I've mostly bin googling. I now have jaw-ache, because I can't balance a laptop, pencil, print-outs, puzzlebook and cup of tea, so I've had a pencil in my mouth for about 6 hours. I also have an answer to the map trail. It's just not the answer that the box wants...

most bin enjoying some sunshine. We had a late morning (Thomas didn't wake until after 9am, so for once we got to sleep in on a saturday). I then got to spend the next couple of hours watching him crawl around, which is much less exhausting than either having to fetch his toys for him or hold his hands as he walks around. He then decided he was tired again, and slept for 3 hours :D
This afternoon, we had a nice trip to a new park - where the play area had all small things, so we didn't have a load of older kids taking over everything. Followed by a nice meal, bath for Thomas and he's gone straight to sleep without complaining.
I've got the cricket on the tv, the sun through the window and some chocolate to hand.

Pretty good day really! Might even do a bit more of Let Me Not.... But then again, I've got to have something to do at work on Monday :D

Alas, however, we both have to come back...

(It's been very cold and wet in Munich :( )

Except its looking like I could be sitting in the sunshine a bit longer than anticipated. :D Tonights news in Malaga says UK airspace shut Sunday until Tuesday at the earliest. UK says nothing????

BBC are reporting the possibility of Sun to Tue now. Sorry! Disruption to 'South East England', so as usual, this is being reported as England... but then, if the wind direction changes again...

I reckon it's a conspiracy. Leaving me here to wreak havoc on the forum... Hope you both manage to get back without too much trouble! (You're not using Ryanair planes, which are full of volcanic dust, are you? :? ) Mind you, Scurra, maybe if you get stuck there a bit longer the weather might improve...

P.S. The sticky toffee pudding was DE licious. Even though I say so myself. :D

Well Yesterday really........ Travelled through to Edinburgh with my sister and 2 friends to see Les Miserales. For once it was a stunningly beautiful day in Edinburgh with millions of people. The Walter Scott monument looked great. Had to do a double take and immediately thought of Giraffe as there were two metallic giraffes standing on the pavement near to the theatre :?

We had a lovely lunch then went into the theatre. There we were all 4 of us - the tears started at Act 1 by the time we got to the baricade scene all for of us were at the silent sobbing stage - It was great - the music was great as usual. One of our friends sings with the clydebank district choir and they actually sing a few of the songs from Les Mis .....and she was tempted to join in but fortunately the tears stopped that.

All in all - it was a great Birthday treat as these shows do not come round all that often. Those of you who live close to London are lucky to have access to such great shows :D

Sounds like you had a great day Tricia. And belated birthday greetings from me too if we have missed it.

Today we went to Wisley. The rhododendrons were absolutely wonderful. Decided to have lunch there and half way through my roast pork I realised I was missing a bit of tooth. :( I think the crackling was a bit too brittle for it. Guess where I am going to try to go tomorrow! :?:

sounds like a great day.

we are lucky living near london- probably do not make the most of it but i have a couples choice christmas present gift experience and it says "tickets to a west end theatre and meal" - any suggestions - i think les miserables sounds a bit too sad for me though - i need the happy uplifting type.

today and yesterday i have managed to complete two mock exams for some exams i have coming up mid June - that is between having to do the chores and be on ladder duty for oh as he is painting the outside of the house, between rain.

now i am going to puzzle whilst dinner is cooking.

Les miserables is brilliant. (Not as miserable as it sounds, well I suppose the story is sad, but the music lifts it) We saw it in London 18 months ago, last November we saw Shawshank Redemption in London and that was very good too. (Not one to take your granny to though ) Someone told me we should try to book Blood brothers this year for our annual trip, but it's not one I'm familiar with.
