No, blame Victor Borge. It's his fault really...
(Personally, I love his "inflation" routine the most; it's such a ridiculously simple idea but he has so much fun with it.)
Never put off till tomorrow what you can do the day after tomorrow.
All of my puzzles are simple and obvious. For certain values of "simple" and "obvious".

 Laura. What you need is a work laptop like mine which won't run you tube. Or games which require flash player. Or most other things. I don't get so distracted when I use this (but only because I CAN'T - since I have no willpower of any description for ANYTHING that's a good thing. )

What's worse is, everyone else in the household was alseep, and at one point, I burst out laughing because I couldn't hold it in any longer. I think I might have woken someone up! :?

You can now sympathise with my middle-of-the-night outburst!

Today I've been food shopping for a small army. (12 Brownies + 4 leaders = small army by my reckoning.)

I'll see you all on Sunday night, if I'm awake enough to switch the computer on then!!!

OK so time for a totally unnecessary update on some of the things which have been happening around here.

1. Phone call from daughter's best friend (who I THOUGHT was a sensible girl - she's a teacher) - despite knowing that the law now states that you need to have been driving for 3 years before you can sit with a learner driver, she took a learner driver out (she's been driving 2 and a half years). The learner driver tried to take a corner on a wet country lane at 40mph, and turned the car on its roof. Both of them (thankfully) managed to crawl out of the car windows and had minor injuries. They then had to flag a passer down by (no signal in Ashridge) who called police, ambulance and fire brigade. And guess what? Because she shouldn't have been with him, his insurance is now invalid. Good job no one was seriously injured, isn't it????

2. (Lighter note) Had to go to a 65th birthday party last night. Goodness, don't I know how to live?? She had a karaoke singer with backing tracks singing country music. AAAAAARRRRRRGGGGHHHH.

But because she's my friend I thought I'd better join in - and had the full line dancing granny experience.  (I do have to be a bit careful here because apparently Gill is also a line dancing granny... ).

No you dont because I wasn't a granny when I was an instructor  . My style was fast and furious and I've forgotten all I ever knew. Forget the country music, chart topping No 1's were more my style.

If my knees hadn't given out ( most instructors knees do because we pound the floor) I'd still do it now. Its one of the best forms of exercise going. It also keeps the weight in check, I'm considerably heavier than I was when I danced.

Pensioners are good at it because it uses a lot of ballroom dance steps. So are those who attend aerobic classes. Great for single people too because you don't need a partner.

Sermon over.

Not so good for someone who has no sense of balance, dodgy knees and doesn't know her left from right, however...

I'm usually OK with left and right but keep-fit instructors who say left but use right confuse me. I think they do it so that they are moving to the side they want us to go but I find I either have to listen or watch but not both!

Were they looking at you?

A good instructor should always have their back to you, They should be able to instruct that way using only words. A quick glance over a shoulder tells you when someone is struggling.

Thats a good tip for any form of exercise or dance. If the insructor needs to look at you all is already lost. Find somewhere else.

To get away from the football I've been watching the new DVD of Alice in Wonerland - the one with Johny Depp. I thought it was excellent.

Scurra I saw the Bandersnatch but not a Boojum - so I am still here

 My keep fat lady tried to say "now squat!" and demonstrated the action, but accidentally said "Now SQUIT" and then started rolling around on the floor laughing. And so did we.

I think I'd rather do that than keep fit, personally.
