LOL - I didn't bother wondering, and just figured a blank tile would do :D

There was a barbed text to the Radio Newcastle sports team [NOT by me.... this time ;) ] saying the vuvuzela is an noise maker used by a lower form of life - namely a football supporter

I try not to be quite so deliberatly insulting - or more subtle about it

On a more practical note, I hope the idea of these does NOT take off over here. There seems to be NO reasonable expectation of "a peaceful life", and the more things like this that are seen as 'the way things are today' the more difficult it is object to our airwaves being invaded by other people's noise.

[Yes - we've had noisy neighbour problems in the past]

Where would you go for modelling balloons and origami paper? Last time I bought modelling balloons I got them in a pound shop, and they kept bursting.

I need them for Friday, so not really time to order them online.

The sort of shops that sell party stuff, or even fancy dress shops might have them?

No John Lewis within 50 miles :( and Hawkins Bazzaar only appears at Christmas. I wondered about party shops, but wasn't sure if they only stock the sort you can fill with helium. I might ring round. I think I saw a new toy shop somewhere the other day, but I can't remember where, and I'm not sure it had even opened for business yet.

You know, if you did find someone online and rang them they might well be able to put what you want in the post to you in time.

That's one of the sites I had looked at. It looks a bit more geared up to bulk quantities for magicians I think. I just need a few to keep 5 ten and eleven year olds occupied for a while. I'll try party shops tomorrow.

We have a couple of "Magic Box" shops here in Newcastle, and that would have been my first port of call. Are there any magic supplies stores down your way? [If not, where do the Hogwarts gang stock up in the holidays?]

I have now found some balloons (at a party shop). The craft shop I tried had closed down, so I have tracked down some origami papers at a shop near my mum and sent her out to fetch them and post them to me.

On a separate issue can anyone explain how I have minus two unread pms ?

Anyone else had a funny on Private messages? I had one that I've already discussed with Scurra.

I keep getting "a message has been removed due to message filters". So I don't know if that means I'm losing messages I've already read or if I'm not getting them in the first place. Or maybe the system has been set up to detect subversive texts or those which contain swear words and blasphemy. Although if that was the case ALL of mine would be filtered....

Yours is easy Bunny. If your inbox is full, every time you get a new message the 100th message is auto removed. Thats what your message means.

I really meant any oddities between yesterday and today.

That's odd though, because it doesn't happen all the time. And my inbox is perpetually full!

I haven't had anything else that's odd. Well, apart from messages from odd forum members, but that's normal.
