Why does jelly wobble? So that it's more fun to eat. (Obvious really

)
Fernando aged about five: Why is that badger lying at the side of the road?
Giraffe: Because it's been hit by a car and it's dead.
Fernando: If it's dead why hasn't it gone to heaven?
Giraffe:

(Wishing I'd said it was tired and having a nap now)

I remember my nephew doing that. My sister in law was getting concerned because he'd been so quiet. She came into the room to find every single clock in the house in a big heap of springs, batteries, screws...
Mind you, if you'd asked my Mum, she'd have told you that I was a real pain too. I tied a can to a washing prop so that I could get EVERY single plum off the plum tree...and they were all small, green, and totally unripe. I proudly presented her with about 5 bucketloads of totally useless plums. That was me about age 6. Oh, and it always fascinated me how the bees swarmed from the hive down the garden when I banged on the side of it with a big stick. It was even better when said swarm stung the neighbours...
Oh, and I liked the exploding custard too...it's actually really easy to do, you just need a bicycle pump and some custard powder...

Why do you get all the fun?

Never put off till tomorrow what you can do the day after tomorrow.

Keep those bunny ears down and out the way

We'd rather hear about it on the news than have anyone taking pot-shots at you

Oh, don't you worry, I'm going nowhere near. Janet's watching with morbid fascination from her son's bedroom window. They have the front door open, and there are now
9 armed, riot shielded police outside her house...

Two have gone through the neighbours (who we also know) to get round the back. But they wouldn't say what was going on...

Is your young guest taking it alright? I hope he thinks it's just a good excuse for a sleep over at your house, rather than getting worked up.

he's now staying the night here, and is mainly panicking because he doesn't have any hair straighteners or clean boxers for the morning.

We're just saying he's a rubbish boy scout because he wasn't
prepared...

So am I!
Mind you my 21 year old son's hair has never seen hair straighteners - I don't think it's even seen a comb for a few years.

Yes, I'm old too. But I'm pretty used to KIDS. Mind you, I don't think my son knows what a comb is either.
Well, whatever it was going on round the corner seems to have been resolved. Man arrested in handcuffs, children appear ok. Wild excitement over for another day...

Yeh. Deffo the WINE
I've just spent half an hour wrestling a new king size matress up a very narrow cottage staircase with a fiendishly narrow and tight 90 degree turn at the bottom.
All hot and nasty now and arms gone to jelly. But obviously I blame Sarah. Coz, when the man delivered it he said "where do you want it" and she said "OH JUST LEAVE IT IN THE HALL AND WE WILL SORT IT OUT LATER". Aaaarrrggghhhhhh.
Never considered the matress/stairs interface dilemma when I bought the bed. Muppet.
