How long has she got to make it? Scoop out the flesh, whizz it with ice, stick it back in the flesh and back into the freezer for a while. Serve topped with squirty cream and a cherry. An alternative is to mix the flesh with a quick gel instead of ice. Will stay firm if melting would be a problem.

She's going to wrap puff pastry round cream horn moulds and then fill them with greek yoghurt with fruits in it.
They drive me mad, food tech teachers. They are supposed to deliver a section on "healthy eating" and then get the kids to make loads of pastry and pizzas!!
They made fairy cakes a couple of years ago and then had to make them healthier, so they made them again with half wholemeal flour, half white. If they just taught them to cook proper food it would be healthier than most youngsters eat.

I had to do a survey at school of what kids in a year 8 class ate over a 2 day period. Frankly, their diets were so disgraceful I'm surprised they don't have things like Rickets and Scurvy. Things like crisps and coke for breakfast, chocolate at morning break, chips for lunch, chips for tea and the odd doughnut. Urgh.

We all know that shreddies should be an essential part of a 12 year old's diet

Sounds like what my son lives on at Uni - with the occasional pack of sushi thrown in for good measure.

Ah, but Sushi is really healthy! :D I actually had one boy who thought that he had been really good because he'd had some "fruit". It turned out to be strawberry jam in the doughnut!

Chocolate is also a vegetable according to my "adopted" daughter. Chocolate is made from cocoa beans. Beans are vegetable so a chocolate orange is 2 portions of the daily 5.

absolutely correct! I saw an argument once that showed that chocolate was at least one unit - pretty sure I remember there being something more than just the cocoa beans counting as a veg as well. Chocolate is definitely good for you. :D

I'll second that Eirian, I couldn't live without chocolate but only the plain variety, maybe with the odd soft centre or milk chocolate when that's all there is on available. :D
