Re: Today I've mostly bin...
It's a very nice thought. Shame the meeting was at 6.30! It'll do for next time we have chaos though. (It's a fairly regular occurance!)
Re: Today I've mostly bin...
I do myself a big chart like that for the summer school holiday, where there are 6 to 8 weeks of being totally out of routine, and stick it on the fridge. The rest of the time I just hope I remember to look in my diary (which doesn't always work

Re: Today I've mostly bin...
My schedule for the computer bus is sorted out on Word with a single landscape A4 sheet containing a table 7 columns by 6 rows. That gives me titles at the top and side, and 6 weeks of 5 days with decent sized squares to 'fill in'. This means I can plan the future sessions and it acts as a record of the history of the project.
Before my assistant retired he was making work for himself, so he set up the rest of this year and all next year's empty sheets [with the Week Commecing dates, etc]
Very handy.
Over the Christmas period I usually 'adapt' a copy to give me a list of where I should be for events and activities. I don't DO diaries [or anything that involves handwriting if I can get away with it

If it's regular then doing it once well will save loads of time in the futureLaura wrote:It'll do for next time we have chaos though. (It's a fairly regular occurance!)

Re: Today I've mostly bin...
One of our teachers (who is a real hoot) is being sponsored to grow a Mexican style moustache to raise funds for a prostate cancer charity. In our department, we have decided to surprise him by all coming into work wearing false moustaches. Anyone got any suggestions as to where we could get some cheaply?

Isn't this site a fantastic source of information?
Thanks for that. Just out of interest, why did your son need 7 moustaches?

He goes through these stages of weird interests and wanted a moustache - he's only 7 and can't grow one yet - so I saw them and bought them for him. It was hilarious.

My son went to school dressed as a gorilla last Friday.

I said he should get a banana out in the middle of maths and start to eat it.
I've just watched the news on BBC and they were talking about the new RSC theatre. 92% of tickets are bought by people from across Britain and 6 % are bought by people from the rest of the world. By my reckoning that leaves a staggering 2% bought by aliens from other parts of the galaxy.
Re: Today I've mostly bin...
Tempting to go along and see if I can spot the aliens in the audience.

Well you won't if we've remembered to turn our cloaking devices on.

could it be that 2% of tickets are not sold?giraffe wrote: I've just watched the news on BBC and they were talking about the new RSC theatre. 92% of tickets are bought by people from across Britain and 6 % are bought by people from the rest of the world. Re: Today I've mostly bin...
The only time I went to the RSC at Stratford it was such an unpleasant experience that I'm surprised that 102% of the seats weren't unsold. We were right at the top and the seats were tiny with no legroom at all (mind you I think I was imminently expecting Kingsley). It was so steep you felt like you were going to fall down onto the stage. I don't remember anything about the play, I just couldn't wait to get out of there!
