 Shedding a real tear here for you and for your sweet little dog. I know how much she meant to you. But you've done the right thing, you couldn't let her go on like that. Ring me if you want to have a little cry on someone's shoulder. :) I'm here if you need me.

Thank you all - feel so tired at the moment (emotionally drained - I know), so I'm going to try and settle down for an early night.

That's a fact... We keep listening out to hear where she is, and seeing a pair of slippers and thinking it's her curled up on the floor :(

All this will pass - eventually.

(((HUGS)))) MBH. Thinking of you tonight, tomorrow and a long time to come. Anyone who's spent any time on these forums knew how much she meant to you. I think she was as much a part of these forums as any of us.

Hi MBH been there three times myself so can understand what you're going through. She was such a cute dog but at least now her troubles are over and you have lots of happy memoriesof her. :(

This is never an easy decision to make. I hope your happy memories of her are helping you get through this tough time.

Sending hugs.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch, next door but one have spent all day up ladders putting up their Christmas extravaganza on the front of their house. Apparently the big "switch on" will be on Wednesday..

Well I have done NOTHING. Well, apart from making a Christmas cake (which isn't iced). All I've done is to think - "oh c**p, it's Christmas in 4 weeks." and that's it. Mind you, as I recall, I think Pebbles started making her cards MONTHS ago. (For those that don't know, Pebbles makes THE most beautiful hand made cards.

Just to add my own commiserations and hugs to MBH - what a difficult experience you have had, although it sounds as if you had a good vet to help you through it. Hope things feel better soon.

:? Confused. Why have you got men knocking brick dust out of each other in your house?

I've been to STaples to get stuff to construct a calendar for my Dad. He's hopeless at remembering people's birthdays and ages. So I'm going to make him a calendar with printed months on each page and photographs of the people he's supposed to be buying presents for on the appropriate dates!!! You never know he might remember my next birthday. Not that I WANT to remember my next birthday...

You never know he might remember my next birthday.
One place I worked at the bosses 80 year old mother rang me and asked if I knew when her grand daughters birthday was. She'd marked off on her calendar that she'd sent her present and couldn't work out why she was invited to her 21st party which was still 2 weeks away.  Reason was all her friends had gone home for the summer uni break and she was waiting until they came back.
