Titles

#1 Post by Cenwulf » Sun Oct 19, 2008 11:22 pm

Who's been putting titles to some of the members? I see that Bunnylump is "Garrulous lagomorph" and gill216 is "She Who Must Be Obeyed".
Is this ability to give someone a title a special power, or are members able to dub themselves whatever they like?

It makes me laugh every time I look at one of your posts now, with that dancing wolf at the bottom!

I see what you mean. Blooming cheek! I could think of some choice descriptions for that damned Jester...I'll have to learn how to hack into the administrator's computer!

Yes, only admins can give out titles (I have to have some perks, you know :D)
On another forum I frequent there is the rather excellent idea of inviting people to request Custom Titles - but you can't request one for yourself; it has to be for someone else.

So, if you have any bright ideas, try suggesting them and see what happens...

Well, I've been snooping into your cobwebs and crumby corners when you least expect it...

And methinks a Laura got confused with a LoobY. Or maybe this post should go on Zendo thread

Oh lordy. Sorry about that. I didn't look past the L and the 5 letters. Basically, I am now convinced that anyone who has a 5 letter long name that begins with L has a hairy raisin infestation. So, Laura, Looby, LAT - get scrubbing!! (And while you're on, you could have a go at mine too, please. I expect I've got worse than that in my cupboards!

I think it's time I went to bed!!

I have to thank Kingsley for finding it! And notice that there's now a '<' next to it, which is the nearest I could get to the rune for 'Cen' or 'Ken'*. It's a rebus of my login name.

*Ken/Cen: Runic letter meaning 'knowledge' and representing the sound of 'K'.

Ah, now there was me thinking it was a boomerang.

I'm a bit miffed that it appears to be only Gill and I that have an extra name. I think it's about time we had some more additions. For a start, we have a psychopathic ragdoll and a hirsute lupine raisin...not to mention old stick boy himself!

Stickboy? How about Cricketing Chimp?
I've seen a picture of one on a birthday card - it reminds me of when he was supposed to be an undersized W. G. Grace at that LARP in Nottinghamshire.

Right Bunny, I request a name for Redfraggle. "Clattergob"- although she's been quiet of late.

For Zoe. Twiga. It's Swahili for giraffe and she loved it. She said its the first time she's been compared to Twiggy.

Gill

Love them!! :D another name for the Fraggle would be "The Flushing Bride" -with reference to the category most of her jokes come under -"toilet humour". The best kind!

My title suggestion for MBH - 'King of the Swingers'.

After all, he suggested it in the Other Place.

Edit: I think this idea should be moved to another part of the Forum, as it's not really a query any more!
