Music, so I was particularly pleased to get distinction for that (I only got grade 3 passes for the English courses I've done!)

I'm back to essay writing for the next course - Words and Music - which sort of links the two together.

Definitely. And Roses Chocolates - I'm convinced the strawberry and orange creams must also count...

(Although why I'm eating them it beyond me, I don't even like chocolate!)

I haven't even got dressed today!

Chocolate orange! We always had them at Christmas when I was little.

I don't get them now, because Ian hates chocolate with any sort of fruit taste to it. If we have a box of chocolates, I have to pick all of these out (and eat them of course :D)

They are definitely not made for sharing! My OH hates them too, but he very kindly bought me them for Christmas.

Well, the chocolate contains antioxidants, you probably get some calcium from the milk...energy from the sugar and fat. What more could you want?

Anyway, lemsip's got LEMON in it...

Yeah you've convinced me

Belfast has very little water because of the thaw - so we have no water and therefore no heat - so I do need the chocolate for heat / energy

And afterwards you can burn the box on the fire for extra warmth. IDEAL.

We've got lots of water - it's rained, so we have lots of snow melting. The place is like a slippery quagmire. Oh yeah, and we now have thick FOG...

Yeah, but that's where the trouble begins. There are 30 burst water mains in this area alone. There have been 9000 calls to the water board. So they are now talking about turning off power completely one area at a time so that everyone can get water. This is a nightmare but on the plus side, I've now spent 3 days in bed doing absolutely nothing

Uh oh. I'll look forward to that then. Mind you, my sister in law (aka hippy boat girl) lives on a barge in Wiltshire. They can't move the boat at all, and haven't been able to for 6 weeks. They are frozen in 6 inch thick ice. They also have no water (because all the BWB standpipes have frozen up) so they've had to melt snow to use for washing and cooking!

...taking Mum's cat to my daughter's boyfriend's mum and dad's house...

They have foolishly agreed to give it a go having him there, despite already having a dog and a cat AND new carpets! :o

Poor old puss, he wanted attention so much that he even let me put him in the box without a fuss. Got there, and the dog was going mental wanting to play with him. Poor cat just sat hunched up on my lap trying to make himself as small as possible (which is quite hard because he's enormous and really fluffy red persian type cat). Then their other cat came in. Uh-oh, I thought, this is where the fur starts to fly! But no. The other cat, Taz, just wandered in, looked at Yoyo, spotted his untouched dinner on the floor and ate it for him!

Anyway, fingers crossed he settles and it all works out!

Best of luck to Yoyo. :D

I really do hope it works out. He's so lonely. And he's a really friendly cat who likes to sit on laps and be nursed and fussed over. I had hoped that the Animal Welfare people or the Cat Protection league would have found a nice old lady to have him (that would have been ideal) but he was still way down on the waiting list. I couldn't have him here because my cat would have shredded him. She's quite small, but pounces on and picks fights with enormous cats (and as you know even thought it would be a good plan to chase a badger).
