Dear Mr Optimist, Mr Pessimist and Mr Realist, While you were arguing about the glass of water, I drank it! Yours sincerely, Mr Opportunist.

What a lovely surprise
. The colour of the envelope confused me. I thought I was being sent another survey in a brown envelope but the label looked familiar. So now I'm happy. Magazine looks very impressive so I only hope I can manage the puzzles.

My envelope had a tear in it I think the postman was curious

I think my post office was always curious!
Without fail, every edition, I had one that never got to its destination. So I gave my post office a sample and showed them what I was posting..It hasn't happened since. Nor have they had anymore samples and nor have they joined us. Looks like I got that one right

Oh and about the grubby handprint, it exactly fits Lally's hand!
Re: The postman's just been...
I got mine this morning.
Thank you!
Re: The postman's just been...
Mine's arrived too
. Interestingly, this is the second one that has arrived without a postmark on it - so I didn't guess what it was till I opened it and got a nice surprise
Has anyone else received an unfranked envelope I wonder? Maybe someone in the Leeds Sorting Office is a secret admirer? I'll save it up, anyway for possible future re-use........

Just checked, mine's unfranked too. I can never get them off in one piece.

I've got mine. Much gracious, Gill. The puzzles look very interesting.

Re: The postman's just been...
thanks - arrived this morning - grabbed it out of posties hands as i was on my way to london to be in the audience of loose women. - frustrating day as it was in my handbag - took it out once and was amazed that someone mentioned was i bored and i felt with two of the five of us texting that my puzzlebrain glance was not the worst crime.
anyway home now and it looks good.

Re: The postman's just been...
ooo! Slightly jealous about Loose Women!
There are so many shows I'd love to be in the audience for. The current list goes:
Miranda
QI
Loose Women
A Question of Sport
I used to want to go watch Strictly being filmed, but I read a lot of comments about how people weren't treated very well, or had been given tickets and travelled all the way there and then been told they couldn't see it because too many famous people had come. It put me off a bit.

Re: The postman's just been...
Mine was waiting for me when I got home yesterday. Still up to my ears in half-done Advent puzzles, so the 'decision' looms yet again - finish off or jump to the new one.
Looks good, and I'm smiling at some of the ones for us 'older' members of the gang
I remember picking out the theme tune to Shoestring on the piano a LONG time ago.

Re: The postman's just been...
Would you believe, I didn't realize there was a new issue out yet. I've been working again
I decided to pop in here today to check something on the advent calendar and found a new issue. Tonight when I got home, there was my issue! Very nicely done as always!

Re: The postman's just been...
My postman's just been too. And I have an extra shiny new copy to inflict on a friend of mine too.
Thank you Gill / Scurra.
